Actually, a big part of 420 is enjoying the outdoors. I'm going for a boat ride when I get out of work with a few friends to celebrate the holiday.

Believe it was something along the lines of a group of stoners attending high school in California would meet together after detention at 4:20 PM to smoke, then eventually it spread and the time of 4:20 changed to the date of 4/20.
