High school wrestling matches are 6 minutes long. My old coach used to say "What's 6 minutes out of your life?!" It really works well for me when running, and I know I've got about 6 minutes before I'm home, and it helps kick up the pace...the faster I run, the fewer minutes of my life I'm wasting (which is backwards, kind of, because it's actually adding minutes to my life, but you know what I mean). |

My coach never made anyone cut weight; if you wanted to, go for it. He would advocate it for some, but wouldn't help you or tell you to. It usually only ended up being the best of us...everyone else wrestled their "natural" weight. |
