Starting the program today. Just took my first set of vitamins and the fridge is filled with everything I'm "allowed" to eat. I'm drawing the line though with beer since there is no way I'll switch to anything "lite".

A co-worker just mentioned these DVDs today. She said tried to take it easy on herself and did the yoga video since she thought it would be less "hardcore". But she said it was really tough and she stopped after 15 minutes because it was killing her.

Wasn't there somebody on this forum who did the P90x? I remember reading it, it was a while ago. His 90 days must be coming to a end.... i wonder if the dude stuck with it and how well it worked?

I've tried to complete the program twice. Probably me you're thinking of Mae. I just cant stick with it. To me, the only part of p90x that I found fun was the plyometerics and the kenpo work outs. The rest are just multiple sets of the same exercise. I need to be up and moving, changing it up if I'm going to put in a full hour or so into working out.

I did start beach body's "INSANITY" program this morning. WOW IS THAT FUN! You work your ass off, but its 40 minutes of nothing but pure power and energy. They claim in the commercial that you can burn up to 1000 calories a work out. I'm not sure if that's true or not. But I definitely sweat, and it's definitely something I can see myself doing for 60 straight days.

Good for you. Funny, I quit drinking about a month ago and I've lost 6 pounds without changing anything else.

Yoga, interesting concept. Anybody ever hear of "hot yoga"? I had hoped it meant hot women, but apparently it's yoga+insane amounts of sweating-hot women.

For me, once I get some ripped abs and mighty pectoral muscles I'm going to have some revealing pics posted on facebook for all my ex-GF's to see and think about while they are having sex with their chubby hubby's. It's not about athletic prowess, health, or confidence. It's about: POWER.

It's called bicrum (sp?) yoga, and it's done in a sauna. Very popular with a lot of the yoga-freaks.

My friends husband just completed the 90 days. He posted his before and after slides on facebook and what a difference! He said it sucked but it was worth it.

Well I'm on day 31 today...started the second month last night...feeling sore this morning. All in all I'm seeing small results but my gut is nearly gone and things are tighter in general. Hard to say how much better I feel when these workouts kick the shit out of me each day. Yesterday I made to mistake of eating a pound of steak an hour before I worked out....was sick the whole way through.

Ugh, I literally just got sympathy-nausea for a second. that sounds horrible, jumping around for an hour or so with a big wad of meat in your belly does NOT sound fun.
