Hey, for those of you that got your invite via pm on the old forum, didn't a copy of "you have Mail" show up in your personal e-mail in-box? I'm trying to figure out why when I go to my sent folder (there) most of the sent invites messages are still bolded. That means these people have not logged in to read it. We're missing some members. I can understand them not knowing how to get to pm's on that site because they have to go to "My Home" or they have no idea they have mail. I can't imagine them ignoring private e-mail. You guys that are here did get a message sent to your private e-mail; right? Where is Hammy? I have to drive through his town 5 hours from me next weekend. Don't make me find house house. His pregnant wife might not find it amusing |

I don't think I got an email, because that option can be turned off before you ever visit the board. |

My option to receive an e-mail every time I received a pm was already turned off. That's what I hated about the "downgrade." All of a sudden I was getting a msj at my e-mail addy to tell me I had a pm and could not change it <duh>. It was one of the complaints sent to the webbie so maybe it was fixed as I haven't received a pm from there in a few weeks. I guess that just means all our stragglers have no idea how to get to their pm's. Guess I'll be knocking on Hammy's door next weekend When you guys see me, Rob, or Howie posting ambiguous stuff on the old site like "READ YOUR MAIL" or: "Post your OLD NAME" ya'll know it's directed to someone who hasn't found their way here yet. Play into it Thanks |

Yeah, I've PMed some of my favorite members over at the old boards and not all of them have made it over yet. It makes me sad. |

I get so annoyed going in over there looking for old regulars; it's so painfully slow. There was ample indication as to where we all went though.... I know Hnfjw - or whatever he goes by is aware. He felt that the old site would fill up with new members, as it was the official board.... |

Hnfjw is so funny though, he should migrate over here. :/ It will be weird if/when that board gets a bunch of new members and they start their own community over there (can't imagine how people can bear to post there though), none of them will realize what it was like before the switch over. |

She has like 3500 posts and I know she saw the link to here when we first left it up for a few days. I go there now, and I want to cry. It's really SAD. I found MikeLynaugh and sent him a pm at his website. I found Tvan, Hipkitty and Hockeycam through AIM. There's several old members, maybe not numerous in post count, but old timers who always has something to say and were respectful, insightful, and peaceful. We need the Muckers and Grinders, RickmartinRules, Hammy, MontrealSabresFan, Coffee Cup, Salzig, ryspod, BeachdNLa, our Austrian friends; Newt0n and FredinAustria. I know I've left out many, but that's because I can't remember specific names and so many have changed & we don't know who they are. When ya'll happen to sign in there, please remember to direct people to their pm's. My blanket msj is similar to "Hey, we've moved. Here is our new unofficial site. Plz do not post this link in a public forum thanks! Hope to see you there!" I read my reply 8 times and don't see anything that could piss someone off (for once). Cheers |

I PMed MSU Sabres Fan but I don't think she's been on the boards for a while...they probably scared her away. |

When I joined here I never got a pm but I might have, I have no idea how to even navigate around on those boards anymore. I got notifiaction by someone posting on the NHL boards about this site, I can't remeber who it was that directed me over here though. |

If anyone has her on their FB, AIM, or e-mail plz let us know. Same goes for poor Oakstream2. He has almost single handedly been accommodating but asking where we all went. Problem is, he has his pm's blocked and I don't think he knows it. I tried to sneak it into a thread on 10/1. Hfnjw. My guess is he doesn't want to be here. Blu is stil missing as is dbsabre, jammerz04, Schenk PerraultFan9, sweet lou, and the list goes on. Wait till the puck drops and 50 show up that *we* remember and go WTF? There won't even be a GDT thread there. Please, discretely, direct them here and do the "cough cough - check your pm's" XXOO |

ironyisadeadscene wrote: honestly, i dont think anyone misses jammerz I know, but I got blasted for saying Mods should be the only ones to invite in the Howdy thread. I'm trying to expand my wee little brain and include some people who might otherwise be neglected. Actually, I was doing that all along A lot of people don't realize there were imposters (meaning the same people with 2-4 ISP'S) Regardless, the old timers might remember there are two jammers Thanks for your answers though. I think the auto e-mail "you have a pm" might now be done away with and that's why some don't even know about this site. It's okay though. It's already grown by leaps and bounds and as Melly says; "We're all one big happy family" I love it here

The forwarding of pm's to e-mail is definitely functioning (over there). When I checked my e-mail this morning, there was a reply in there from someone thanking me for the link. It was kind of cute honestly; "thanks alot i was wondering where the normal posters like yourself went, i missed reading from all of you. thanks again for the link" How I'm considered "normal" is beyond me, but that's okay. I've been called worse My only guess is that people may have used some alternate e-mail when they registered like gmail or hotmail and they don't check it often? Fly, I just sent you a pm over there to the fly_as_hale account. When you have a minute, please check you e-mail attached to that name and let me know if my pm was forwarded to it. Thanks |

I say trade the rights to Hal, Mark Mancari, and Nathan Gerbe for Milan Lucic, Marc Savard, a 5'th rounder, and the rights to Jammerz. Thoughts?

jammerz is the one who said miller wasnt anything special, just an average goalie, and when people brought up stats to refute that, he told us go look at other goalies stats, like kipper and turco and stuff. and when 4 of 5 goalies he told us to look up had worse stats, he said we were wrong. |
