Any fellow nerds out there? Looking forward to the next book coming out this fall. Thought I'd start a thread to talk about all things Jordan related.

I'm a fan from back in the day when I read the first book, ignorant of the fact it was a series. After 3 or 4 books I finally did a little digging to find out the series had not been completed yet. Then I looked at the picture of Robert Jordan on the back cover. I said to myself, "This guy's gonna croak before he finishes the series." When a buddy and fellow WoT nerd called me to inform me of the news, I screamed out, "I knew it!"

Anyway, I read the last one, written by Brandon Sanderson, thought it was good. Then I read another series by him, the Mistborn series. Very cool. If you dig the last books of the Wheel of Time, I suggest you check out Mistborn. He has another series, Elantris, that I have yet to read.

Hahahaha...The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. On book 14 or so right now. Jordan dies a few years back and Sanderson has stepped in to finish writing it.

Yeah, there will be two more books I guess. There are 12 books right now, just checked and they're all well over 400 pages each....most being around the 800 page range or so.

If you want the short, short version of the books, check out the link below. Scroll about halfway down the page and look for the Robert Jordan books. I believe they are listed in order. I think they did a good job summing up the plots. ;)

I fought my way through the first couple books but just couldn't handle them...
