i was being a little facetious. but there was no mention of any heat retarding films. so i'm not ruling it out.

I'm not saying it's outside the realm of possibility (I've seen that mythbusters too), but it takes some ideal circumstance.

Wouldn't the heat retarding film take away from the illusion?

i'd imagine if they can put the bird retardant film on it and it keeps the illusion they could find some way to absorb some light or spread out the focus of the glare
