It's pretty cool. But it looks pretty damn weird.

It's huge, too. You can get an amazing view from up there, and I guess it doesn't matter if there is traffic.

The cars less than two meters high can go under it.

it's like communism. In theory, amazing. In practice, probably a nightmare.

I've been two meters up in the air, the view wasnt that amazing. :)

This does look interesting in theory...but i'll join the ranks that say it will never happen, there has to be a more practical way to move people around. I cant wait till we get some sort of tube system like in futurama, or the bank.

The roof from the cars view is two meters. On your seat you're probably 2 1/3 meters or a bit more. Yeah. Small difference. But it looks nice.

Not if the drivers know how to drive.

The idea is ingenious. Tracks installed on the side of the road allow for a segmented, four-car road-train (that's what it looks like IMO) to traverse China without disrupting road traffic because they just pass underneath it. I'd imagine the road-trains would only operate on two-lane highways, so there wouldn't be an issue for lane crossing.

On paper, the idea is brilliant and could be very effective. But I just have a feeling it won't pan out.

They would need some kind of amazing break system because if a car crashes and gets stuck on the rail/whatever they run on they are fucked. and random debris from wooded and other areas. It's hard but not impossible by a looooooong shot.

LOL at the Jeep. My acupuncturist, who is from China, said that Jeeps there are held in such high regard. They view them as BIG American luxury cars.

Torque is going to be a nightmare for that bus. Any wind gust or even a gentle turn could make that thing flip.
