I go to the Parade of Homes every year in Syracuse. Basically they show 8-12 $250k to $500k houses in a new development near Syracuse. House 1: ![]() ![]() ![]()

House 2: ![]() ![]() I'm a big fan of rooms that aren't rectangles ![]() Loved this little foyer on the second floor. ![]() Like the color scheme. |

House 3: ![]() ![]() This painting was awesome, and it reminded me of Inception. ![]() I love window seats. ![]() And I thought the patio was nice. |

House 4: ![]() ![]() I like the study desk in the little window alcove. ![]() ![]() Pretty sweet media room upstairs. ![]() Pretty countertop. ![]() ![]() Normally I dislike over the top decorations, but I loved this little nook off the dining room. ![]() Study off the master bedroom. ![]() And the retarded design winner. A door off the master bedroom that not only looks out onto the back porch, but also into the living room window. |

House 5: ![]() ![]() This was one of the better offices I thought. I hate people coming up behind me while I'm working, and this one featured a sliding door (where I'm standing) that didn't have window in it. ![]() Yay for wasting space! |

House 6: ![]() ![]() Another cute little upstairs foyer, obviously for a pair of little girls. ![]() Even though the room setup was kind of wonky, I liked the living room. |

House 7 ![]() ![]() Sweet media room in the basement. I love media rooms. ![]() Not a bad looking living room/kitchen. ![]() Better look at the living room. ![]() ![]() Nice screened in porch. ![]() By far my favorite master bedroom. ![]() Possibly the most impractical piece of furniture ever...and I want one. ![]() ![]() Just a well designed master bathroom. Note the subtle branding on the mirror.

House 8 (Last House: ![]() ![]() Finished basement that was way the hell too fancy and should be a media room. ![]() Closet/changing room off of the master bath off of the master bedroom. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Sweet BDSM dungeon! ![]() Reading Room, loved the chairs and curtains. ![]() Desk in a tiny little pantry off the kitchen. ![]() Fancy ![]() Living room kitty corner too... ![]() This little alcove ![]() Weird chair I wouldn't mind lighting on fire. ![]() Nice room, foofy furniture. Is that stuff made to be sat on? ![]() Loved the color scheme of the house. I should mention that every wall in every room was handpainted, even though it looks like wallpaper. |

I love going to things like this. Last summer I went to housing tour downtown where it was all fancy lofts and condos... And this year there was a tour of a bunch of historical mansions in the city but I missed it. |

Yeah, I've been on this every year since 2004 or 05 I think. I always like the field trips to historical houses we took in elementary school. The Alex Bay boat tour is pretty awesome, with a guided tour of Singer Castle and unguided tour of Boldt Castle. (Great opportunity to find an empty room to make out with your girlfriend). |

I like the foofy furniture. lol. These homes are all right, but kind of... sterile. Or something. |

I am disappoint. I'll take an old house in a city's artsy neighborhood any day. Buffalo should do a parade of homes through Elmwood Village. |
