So, I'm interviewing for a job in Amherst on N. French road near Niagara Falls Blvd. Not getting my hopes up, but this is the first interview I've had with a company that's actively looking for someone with my qualifications and I interview well, (I'm 4/5 I think getting an offer if I get to an interview) so I'm liking my chances.

Looking ahead a bit, what is that area of Amherst like?
What are some good places to live relatively nearby? (I'm fond of the Elmwood area, but not picky).
What's traffic like?
Anything else I need to know?

What's the name of the company? (if you don't mind me asking.) My office is about 1 mile from the corner of NF Blvd and N. French.

You're actually closer to North Tonawanda than Buffalo right there. It's the extreme northern part of Amherst. It's a decent area, not too far from the major roads to get downtown, or wherever. Decent amount of restaurants, stores, shit like that. It's a good haul from Elmwood to up there, but not terrible if you don't mind the drive.

The company is Stearns and Wheler GHD, they're at 415 French, suite 100.

Lawl... That's just over 2000 feet as the crow flies from my office. :)

I have to run out for a bit, we'll chat more about this later.

There are decent neighborhoods if you go further down NF Blvd about a half mile and turn up Tonawanda Creek Rd where the cemetary is.

Good places to eat are the restaurant at the corner of N. French and NF Blvd, Mighty Taco (well I like it), and Wegman's subs. A little toward Buffalo is Ted's or Custard's Last Stand (I can't remember which), and a decent park on the other side of the Blvd.

I'm not crazy about the Northtowns... Too much traffic (relatively speaking, this is Buffalo after all), and it's all just...flat. There are some nice restaurants up there though. Good luck with your interview.
