Well if it was episodes 1-3 that she likes, then it's totally OK for her to get harassed. ;)

If she likes the real Star Wars, episodes 4-6, then fuck those bullies.

Seriously though, episodes 1-3 suck.

This kind of shit really pisses me off but it's nice to hear of a victory for a change.

I was never a fan of the trilogy growing up but had some friends who liked both Star Wars as well as Star Trek. They were ripped on some god awful for being, "Nerds" and to some extreme, physically assaulted or accused of never amounting to anything in life. I was never a jock or a nerd back in the day. More-so one of the middle kids who took some lumpings for sticking up for those being picked on.

Today, some of those same people who were labeling and bashing them can be found in some not so attractive positions now in life and in some situations have also been the ones asking these "Nerds" for their assistance because they are in a position to help. Most of these guys were jocks in high school that were projected to go on to bigger and better things. This is going to sound like a real prickish thing for me to say, but it feels good to see the once mighty having to request help from those they once ridiculed and picked on.

Fuck’em.

Man i fucking hate bullying no matter what age it is or whatever reason they're bullying! People need to seriously grow the hell up because this kinda of stuff really hits home with me.

I wish there was a real way to stop it but it just gets worse

This is so foreign to me. Star Wars was more a part of my childhood than any other pop culture phenomenon. I watched it on a weekly basis, and the only thing my brothers and I ever asked for for Christmas was specific action figures. One year our parents coordinated with my aunt and uncle and the neighbors so we would all get lightsabers for Christmas, and the nine of us spent the whole day after that outside playing and having battles (it was very warm that year; we didn't even wear jackets lol).

Seriously what on earth. SW was a part of my daily life as a child. I was homeschooled, though, and so were my brothers, cousins, and the neighbor kids... Kind of precluded any bullying outside of the normal sibling and friend stuff, and I was oldest of my brothers and cousins haha.

i have never ever ever seen a star wars. for the longest time, i thought the imperial death march song was just the university of michigans 3rd down song at football games. when i first heard it outside that, i was all.. WTF, THEY STOLE MICHIGANS THIRD DOWN SONG.

bullying sucks. but at the same time, everyone has to deal with a bully in their younger years so they learn how to cope with it. the fact kids are killing themselves over it show that bullying has taken a severe turn for the worst.
