9 month old Akita needs a new home. The owner has health issues, and has to get rid of the dog. He is the younger brother of my Akita. There are few options at this time, as it happened kind of suddenly. If anyone is looking for a beautiful dog, he goes free to a loving home. He is about 80 lbs, so he is a good size boy. He will probably end up at about 100 lbs. Please e-mail me if anyone has a serious interest. [email protected]. Thanks. |

We have some interest, been looking to get a new dog since ours passed away in late December. My parents are rather taken with labs, but they might not mind an Akita since they like bigger dogs, and like dogs that are good in snow. Is the dog fixed or housebroken at all? Do you have any pictures? Also, is the dog used to being outside a lot, i.e. left outside? We've got a 2.5 acre yard so there's plenty of place to play, and plenty of time, but my parents don't believe in tying a dog outside unsupervised at all. Sending you an e-mail as well. |

I'll throw some info in here Dave gave me. My family can't take on this dog because we have other pets and that might be an issue. The dog is housebroken, not fixed and used to spending time indoors (apartment). I'll let Dave post the pic if he wants. |

you could see how the dog acts with the other animals...or is that not possible? |

Well since we live two hours away it's difficult at best and if something were to go wrong it would be difficult to make arrangements. Either way it's my parents' decision and they don't want to deal with it. |
