Does anybody in the Buffalo area know of any good places to buy hockey equipment? I need stuff for a roller hockey league I'm doing at the Epic Center in Williamsville, which starts tomorrow. Any good places?

Great Skate on Sheridan and Sweet Home Rd. The Northtown Center's Pro shop (at Maple and S. Maplemere road). The Hockey Outlet Proshop has a lot of good deals usually but only if you feel like taking a drive up the boulevard.

Great Skate would be awesome if they didn't charge out the ass for their shit.

Just go to the old Play It Again Sports down by the McKinley Mall

Go to the Amherst Pepsi Center, or Great Skate, that's where the cheapest, yet good equipment is.

In my experience, Great Skate isn't that much more expensive than anyone else in the area.

Yeah, was going to say, I feel like most places charge out the ass. We have a place here called McKies which people criticize for the same thing, but I've gotten decent stuff there at prices I felt were fair. My inline skates cost $200 and considering they came with wheels that go for about $8 a wheel, $80ish total I felt that was a good deal.

The play it again near me has worse prices than the Dicks and Sports Authorities. PIAS' cheapest hockey helmet was like $60 when you can spend $45 at Dicks.

I wish we had more hockey pro-shops in my area. We got one big one and another small one inside of a rink.

And the one rink has a small pro-shop but I guess they can order anything you'd want at least.
