That's very cool CV!

I'll see if I can post some high deff pics of mine from over the summer. A fully engraved replica of the Stanley Cup. Every year (including mistakes) are about as accurate as possible. Took it into work and some where leary as to touching it, lol. Also made the HHOF logo for the bottom of it.

The base was a plastic waste can, 2 cookie cans (base of the neck) one other smaller candy can, tuna can (which was recently replaced with a hockey puck to make the neck a little shorter) and a baking bowl. Bolted the whole thing together, found a lid from another container for the bottom, sealed it all in MANY rolls of foil tape and for the bowl, I drew the design on with sharpie then went over the design with a hot glue gun. Then foiled it as well.

About 3-4 weeks for engraving (thanks to wiki for the teams/players names) and there ya have it. Lord Stanley sits in my living room. Waiting for the year I can etch "Buffalo Sabres" on it.

Uploading some pics now.. I have nothing else to do at work, lol...

Oh, and for the rings, it's just wound up hockey tape as though you were making a grip for a hockey stick. lol.

Thanks CV.

haha not sure if I'd be that much of a homer, but some people were driving past the day we had it outside on the deck and had to stop, get out of their car and look.

That soda can is holding that tree up while it dries by the way, if the foliage doesn't go on even, the bases aren't wide enough. I only leave the bases on to dry, then remove them and glue the trees down.
