So I'm thinking about buying a Nook Tablet; the only thing I really want to do with a tablet is browse the web, read books, and watch videos, and from what I can tell, I'm not going to do any better for my money than this one. If you have a tablet, which one, and what do/don't you like about it? One of the biggest things I like about the Nook is its size and weight. |

I have the samsung galaxy 10inch. I use it for the things you mentioned and it performs perfectly. What I would NOT use it for is entering a lot of text, if you're used to touchtyping it feels like walking with your pants around your ankles, switch to the laptop for emails/forum responses. |

I have an ipad 1. I like it for that kind of stuff, and you can get a keyboard attachment for doing e-mail etc. Yankee is right about trying to type on the touchscreen. Plus, though I haven't checked any of the other companies' products, I'd be willing to bet that ipad has a million more options through apps. |

Yeah, I definitely don't plan on doing any typing on it. It's a media viewer and that's /it/, IMO... |

I like the iPad. Surprise surprise. And I used it for the same things you do. |

Yeah, I've used one, and I like it. I just don't see myself needing a tablet that big (or that expensive). I have other devices for the other purposes (laptop, mp3 player, etc). |

Just my opinion, but I see no value in smaller tablets. I think the iPad size is perfect. The kindle fire for example; browsing the web on that isn't any kind of huge improvement over browsing on a smart phone. When I'm using a tablet to surf the web, I want it to feel more like holding a news paper. I like something a little more substantial in that regard. |

That's a valid point; I think the iPad is probably just a little too big for my goals. Also, I've heard the Kindle Fire licks variations of balls. |

I'd say check out the Asus Transformer but you already said you don't want a tablet that big. |
