everyone SHOULD give a fuck. ATDI was considered one of the most influential bands of the 90s. the fact that cedric and omar put the mars volta on hold to get this wonderful lineup back together is HUGE. for me. |

TMV isnt done, their latest album is coming out in march. but it seems the TMV boys and the sparta boys are timing out to get their old band back together. and ATDI was a band that had a large and passionate following, and their albums were recognized as top tier work around the music circles. id also like to point out that the bad sound in the first video is intentional. they purposely play out of tune alot of times. |

I've seen Mars Volta twice and am a big fan....but seriously....who gives a fuck? ATDI never tickled my pickle and honestly Mars Volta fucking blows live. Their albums are great....but live they suck so bad and are usually so fucking high that I wish I had back the money I spent to see them. I traveled all the way to Amsterdam one of the times and had a better time smoking shitty weed later on than suffering through their piss poor crap performance. Also, even as a fan of Volta...this is the first I have heard of them being one of the MOST influential bands of the 90's. Just saying. |

oh, and they arnt high. they denounced the use of recreational drugs a long time ago. in their ATDI days, yeah, they did coke by the spoonful. since the break, no drugs. and cedric bitches out concert goers if they use drugs at his shows. of all kinds. even pot. |

I'm glad they say they don't do drugs, but when I saw them in Denver a year and a half - two years ago it was pretty obvious they were smashed. Cedric ran around the theater smacking drinks out of peoples hands and being a complete fucktard. Either the guy was strung out or he was acting pretty well. Like I said though, Volta makes great albums but live they leave a lot to be desired. |

De-Loused was one of my favorite albums but I was pretty let down when I saw their show. I gave them a second chance and after the theatre staff needed to buy a bunch of people free beer and security guards actually had to usher him back on stage to perform instead of throwing a tantrum I just lost interest. I think that if you don't have respect for your fans then you don't deserve them. |
