My son was diagnosed with swine flu this week and now it looks like I've got it, too. Luckily, it is the end of the nine week marking period and we have no students today, so hopefully I'll get slammed this weekend and be ready for work on Monday. I hate missing days. More trouble than it is worth.

Doh! I've got 2 friends that have had it and one of my friends daughters had it. They all survived  I hear it's no fun for about 3 days though. |

I got it at the beginning of the month. There's not much to worry about, but lay low for a while. Mine was only bad for a couple of days, but it hung on for weeks. |

My house was a swine hotbed when I went home this past weekend. All three of my brothers who were there had it all last week and into this week. I think that I escaped untouched. I swear it is impossible for me to get sick. |

I got the swine flu shot the other day...didn't think I was going to get it, but I might be going to Ireland in January so it was recommened that I get the vaccination since I'll be abroad. |

I knew someone who had like 2 weeks ago but he's fine, I saw him the other day and kept away from him  Everybody seems to be overracting with H1N1, here in London they released the vaccination and they had 4000-5000 people waiting in lines to get it.  I have also seen a ton of people wearing masks in public.

Yeah, except not as bad and only half as lethal, and the people it does kill are typically young and either have preexisting conditions or get something like pneumonia after they contract it (basically, swine flu is not what kills them; it's that plus this and this and this). |
