I watched it and didn't cry either. what would have been terrible is if they said her dad was dead, then he surprised her, that would be more of an Aprils Fools Joke actually. |

I never said it would be right in any way to do it. I said it would be terrible to do, and you shouldn't ever do it to a kid of that age. I could never, ever even think about doing that to someone, especially a child. I know several people who lost parents as children, one of them the 90+-year-old grandmother of a friend whose father died when she was nine. She's not over it, not even to speak of the rest, and to give a child that feeling for even one minute is just despicable.
