"Mixed martial arts matches are currently against the law in the Empire State, but the State Senate passed a resolution today that would establish a boxing-like governing board to oversee the newly sanctioned "combat sports" events."

I'm not really a fan of MMA. Pretty silly that it's illegal, though.

When it was made illegal, UFC still allowed kicks and punches to the groin, strikes to the neck, and I think eye gouging and biting. So, when it happened, it made sense haha.
