Tim howard, I am WILDLY unimpressed.

I could have saved at least ONE of those shots, that was fucking ridiculous.
The first goal he played COMPLETELY wrong. You cut off the short-side shot and MAKE the player take the harder, backside shot into the far side-netting. you do NOT get beat shortside...that goal was like a goalie coming off the post during a wraparound, fucking absurd.

The second shot showed slow reflexes and lack of focus.

ugh, i'm so disgusted right now. The only two teams I care about in this world basically took a bloody shit this year.

I think I'm rooting for Ghana the rest of the way to bring it home for West Africa. Cote D'Ivoire would have been a better story given their recent civil war, but I digress.

Ghana's a bunch of divey bitches that should've gotten TWO red cards for their histrionics. Fuck em - I hope Uruguay DESTROYS them.

Pure and clean? Ya, no. The United States didn't get beat so much as they lost.

If you had watched instead of bragging how you didn't, you'd retract that statement.

i thought ghana played wonderful defense, and were faster to the ball. they were the better team. USA had their chances, and they couldnt capitalize, but thems the breaks.

as far as the diving, its sorta true. a player hits the ground, and the writhe in pain. and its all... COME ON, YOU ARE FINE! GET UP! both teams were doing that.

I have tried many, many times but I can't sit and watch two teams get maybe 1 good chance in 90+ mins to score and dive all over the place, I'll stick to baseball

They played OK defense, but caught the breaks because the United States couldn't pass and none of them have hops so they lost all head balls. Like I said, it's not so much that Ghana beat them, but moreso that they lost.

if they could shorten the field 10-20 metres and width some, it would make the sport MUCH more interesting.

You ever been kicked in the chest with soccer cleats? Or had your foot stepped on and roll your ankle? With the exception of true divers (Team ITA, for example), a lot of the shit they're rolling around because of hurts like a bitch.

My friend had his face stepped on by metal cleats during a football game and spent zero time rolling around on the ground.

I have had all that stuff happen to me but those are true injuries, I am talking about when a guys avoids a hit all together and he still ends up flopping like a fish out of water, that just turns me right off.

That would hurt.

I spained my ankle so bad playing baseball once and I still played in a game and when the game was over the doctors office I went to said you should have not bothered still playing as i almost broke it.
