well i stopped watching the bills over a month ago now....but i still read up on them, and check the stats, etc.

one stat that i was blown away by was aaron maybin...

10 games played - 5 tackles - 1 assist - and 0 sacks ????

i wouldn't believe this if i didn't see it with my own eyes.....what the hell is going on with him ? is he that bad ?

those aren't even good stats for 1 game let alone over half a season....this guy held out for more money ? why?

i guess the bills blew it on that first rounder, eh ?

He's a defensive end, remember who we have at defensive end over him.

Aaron Schobel, and Chris Kelsey. They play the majority of the game, and he only fills in for injury and when they are tired.

I think we definitely blew a 1st rounder(and the money associated with). This guy has been in on almost CERTAIN passing situations(in which his "great" first step should have helped him), and has done just about zero. Early in the season he would just get pushed past the QB with relative ease, cuz he THOUGHT he'd be as fast off the ball as he was in college. Lately, he learning to get caught up at the line because he's too weak and small. One thing going for the guy is that he remains positive and has a good work ethic. I hope he works out though, and I REALLY hope Eric Wood is ok. He likes to play with intensity, and I always respect that in an athlete(or basically any person). That sure looked like a bad injury though. If it's just the leg snapped, then that may be not as bad as if his ankle and knee ligaments were shredded too. That leg looked absolutely DESTROYED. I hope the kid had insurance on himself.

they should try him at line backer at least one game see if the different package allows for him to get the QB. or if he has the speed he could keep up with a wide out maybe.

otherwise trade his sorry ass in an attempt to land a draft pick.

You're still too early to just get rid of people, this is his first year in the NFL, give him a year or two before you completely want him gone.

College to NFL is way different, the speed of the game is so much faster.

I totally agree with that. It make no sense to start a Safety at Linebacker, when you have guys like Maybin and Schobel who could play Linebacker in a pinch.
Of course I also think the Bills should switch to a 3-4 defense, but seeing that the can't keep any Linebackers off IR that might be a stretch.

The point is there were at least four defensive players who are having a large impact as rookies. The three USC linebacker and DE Orokpu. All were picked after Maybin, I believe.

This further illustrates what a complete bunch of fucking ass clowns are employed by The Buffalo Bills. We need a new GM and talent evaluaters more than we need a new head coach. :x

Even the dumbest of analysts had Orakpo going next. Of course, we "out-thought" everyone, and took the guy who wasn't the right size to play that position in the NFL. Modrak has GOT to go.

Fewell has said in interviews they expected it to take a year to bring Maybin along.

It's "expected." What the fuck is that; expected. The three above mentioned players are all having an impact now. There is no expectation; they're contributing this season, they were all competant picks.

We had too many voids to pick a player who we eventually "expect" to contribute. Top teams can make these type of picks at the end of the first round to eventually take the place of older or impending free agent players.

But our imbeciles perhaps failed to realize that we're not a contender, and we fucking continue to be a fucking disaster.

If we don't hire a competant GM, I am done with this team after being a fan for 40+ years. Failure to do so and they can take this pathetic piece of shit franchise (save the days of Polian, and Saban before him) and take them out to LA. At such point I can find better things to do on a Sunday than watch some paranoid old man's teams continue to embarrass themselves, and this great town.
