" Golf great Tiger Woods was seriously injured in a car crash in Florida early Friday morning, authorities said. Woods, 33, is in the hospital in very serious condition after a single-car crash at 2:25 a.m. in which he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The wreck is under investigation and charges are pending, but it was not alcohol-related, the highway patrol said in its accident report. It wasn't known if he was wearing a seatbelt. Woods pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community when he struck the hydrant. He then plowed into the tree on his neighbor's property. He was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla. Woods was apparently traveling under 33 mph because the Cadillac Escalade's airbags didn't inflate, the FHP said. The golf champion was gearing up for his fifth Chevron World Challenge title. The $5.75 million tournament is scheduled for Dec. 1-6. "It should be an exciting week for the fans, and I'm looking forward to competing," Woods said in a Nov. 25 article about the event on his Web site." |

Sucks, but it sounds like it was all his fault. What was he doing out at 2am anyways? I hope he was getting medicine for his kids or something benign. I kind of went "WHAT" after they said on the radio that he was seriously injured only to say that he basically got some stitches and went home. Serious injury that is not. |

Good points on the window needing to be busted out; please. If he was going slow enough that air bags didn't deploy; and he had cuts only on his lips/mouth area AND was in and out of consciesness according to accounts, this was not an accident. This is more suspicious by the minute. Maybe not a alcohol related incident as it would appear at first glance; but definitely more than is being currently reported. Busted out a window to help him. Unconscious. Bullshit.

All you guys that jumped to alcohol assumption should have waited. Reports are coming out now that it was a domestic. His wife accused him of cheating and went off on him, he tried to leave and was distracted because she was beating on his truck with a golf club, and then ran into the hydrant and tree. |

Crazy bitches!!! If a guy screws around and she goes off, he is an asshole and deserves it.....if she screws around and the guy goes off, it is domestic violence and hes an asshole.   At least he tried to get away and not revert to trying to subdue her; then he would have a cut lip and be in jail with Hershel on HIS ass....... But at the same time, he kinda looks like a pussy instead of an asshole.......we cant win.....

Well Dad, we assumed there was more to this than was being reported. We were correct, but wrong (perhaps) about the cause. This appears to be more interesting than alcohol anyhow......
