First, that doesn't look fun...AT ALL. But that's just me...it looks painful...like driving fast in the boat in choppy water. I was so happy the Canadian guy won. We have been watching the Canadian channel all day and they had an interview with him and his handicapped brother. SUCH a cool guy and really nice. His brother is frikken awesome in his wheelchair. What a pair. And that he won the first gold medal for Canada while Canada is hosting the olympics makes it even cooler. Of course I'm always rooting for the US, but when Canada wins, its just as special to me. I love Canada. |

It looks like a 50 in 50 event. That is 50 knee surgeries by 50 years of age. Ouch. |

I still can't believe a Canadian never won gold on home soil before. Good for him, that was a beatuiful run. |

Hey Mods, wanna merge this as Skiing? Great run by Lindsay Vonn today...that was a rough ass course. The fall the Swedish girl took was a nasty one, even broke one of the skiis. |

What was up with all those people wiping out Wednesday night? I only caught bits-n-pieces and every time I turned around, another one bit the dust. Some of those women(?) took some brutal hits and bounces. |

Peekaboo Street will always be my favorite woman skiier. Lindsay Vonn rubs me the wrong way. She's like the Stepford Olympian Skiier. Peekaboo was MUCH more fun to cheer for. |

Some of those women(?) took some brutal hits and bounces. The bottom end of the course was apparently much faster than it had been during their single training run. Some of the commentary was that the course was end to end about 5 seconds faster than it had been during training, which is an absurd difference. Even Vonn almost lost it after the last jump, although I think that was more shin related myself. EDIT: I'm guessing you mean 'Picabo' Street. |

Well, yeah...I knew I spelled it wrong, but couldn't remember the correct spelling. Thanks for that... |
