As anyone ever been to Lake Placid to go on the bobsled run? I took my daughter down it around the 02 olympics (I think it was 02). It was awesome. We were in a four man sled...the driver in front, brakeman in back and my daughter and I in the middle. At first you just glide around the turns and then you pick up speed at the end. At first, I'm like, "This is awesome!" Then in the second half of the ride, I'm like, "OH, MY FRIGGEN GOD!!! I'M A HORRIBLE MOTHER BRINGING MY CHILD ON THIS THING!!" We were going 80 mph. I was holding on to her with my legs and holding on to the sled with my hand for dear life. The final turn hit so hard, I thought I broke my arm...it was bruised so bad. But, then I got off and was like, "THAT WAS FRIGGEN AWESOME!!!!" And was jumping around like a maniac. What a trip!

I've never been bobsledding but i have gone 70 miles an hour down a hill on a snowboard. Luckily no one was in the way cause it took me about 8 minutes to stop safely. but it looks like a lot of fun.

I'd hope so, or it could have been a little awkward and painful for you when you had your kid.

The Germans are cleaning up in bobsledding...they could overtake us for the Medal Count if they keep it up.

Poor womans Germany team. That accident tonight could have been a lot worse! Thankfully the rear guard (IDK what they're callled?) may have a few ice burns from slidding most of the track on her back. They both walked away with minimal injuries.

On a diferent note, I think it was awesome to see the two Canadian and USA womens teams all join in for a picture after the bronze, silver and gold medals were announced! Very classy by both teams!!!

Wow that was one of best bobsled races I have ever seen, the USA and the Canadians were by far the best.

Maybe they should start wearing Kevlar suits. LOL Seriously, though...it was so fortunate both women were okay. What a scary thing to see after that Georgian kid a few weeks ago.

Did you see the ceremony for that Gerogian Luger? They went through the streets with his koffin open  Really strange tradition if you ask me.

Wow...well, if it makes them feel better, whatever works. I'm sure there's plenty of traditions we have that they think are strange. Its still so sad. I wonder how the sliders, etc felt as they went past the bend where he crashed. I would feel haunted at the very least.
