I had no idea this sport existed until a few hours ago. I just thought ice dancing was a derogatory nick name for figure skating.

Pretty fucked, eh? THAT is what warrants prime time on NBC, while the US vs Canada hockey gets the boot....brutal.

NBC is a slave to the ratings.

All those moms sitting at him on Sunday nights who don't understand ice dancing, but think it's 'pretty' draw more viewers than anything else.

Sad.

In America, the US vs Canada Olympic hockey game takes a back seat to this...

I still can't believe the USA/Canada game took the backseat channel. Maybe to help the ratings for MSNBC? I do think its funny that the dude's decoration on his forehead looks like a weed leaf

Let's not be negative; the general American public prefers ice dancing...

I find it difficult to understand how Ice Dancing is a sport. Are they going to make Ballroom dancing a summer Olympic sport next? How about making American Idol an Olympic event??

<whispering> I admit...I've always been an ice dancing junkie. I've always thought it was cool and elegant. Hockey took huge precedence last night, but after the game was over, I caught this cool routine. I love the Indian music.

Olympic Pole dancing... :naughty: Maybe on the Brett Michael's rock of love show.

Los, you may be right...those two have been paired together since they were 9 years old. They showed a video of them then. Cute.

NBC can go fuck themselves for shoving the most anticipated hockey game of the Olympics under the bus for PRELIMINARY ROUNDS of Ice Dancing.

Great articles:
In Buffalo, hockey beats ice dancing.

NBC Dances in Hockey Hell

Everyone, even people who don't really follow hockey are talking about the game. No way in hell are people actually talking about ice dancing...I mean, do figure skating fans even care about prelim ice dancing

Geez, what a surprise. I had friends from all around the country who have never had an interest in hockey before this game texting me saying how much they love Ryan Miller. Pretty sure they've never even heard of him before last night.

Last night's game was probably one of the best hockey games I've seen in a while.
