Quote:
"[Backes] got right into the crease there and bumped me," said Brodeur. "After that, it was a puck that went up in the air and I tried to pokecheck and it just got a little chaotic there."

no, your defensemen checked him into you and you made a dumbass play

Quote:
"It was a tough game," he said. "I think they got some bounces to score some goals. Had one go off my player. I made some key saves I thought in the game to turn it around, we just didn't take advantage of it. After the two breakaway saves I made in the second, I feel that maybe something's going to happen and we went on to take three penalties in a row from there."

yeah, it was only bounces that you lost by. key saves? you only saved 18/22, douche. LMAO I MADE SAVE ON A BACKHAND BY DUSTIN BROWN...KEY SAVE. then he said everyone else fucked up after he did something right.

Quote:
"We're throwing 45 shots at these goalies and they're making stops facing forward, backward, sideways. Eventually, if we keep doing these right things offensively, we'll be more successful."

you need your team to score more? 3 goals is more than enough when you are on what is considered the best team in the last few years. how about making some more saves?

i hate brodeur

hes overrated, and had luongo started, i feel canada would have at least gotten it to overtime. but the US won, and i cant discredit that. i did think canada played much much better.

That's the sound of a douche with an inflated ego throwing his team under a bus.

Broduer made key saves to keep the game very close.

And when your goalie makes two breakaway saves and such and your team doesn't respond to that, then you can blame your team.

He's being honest though, Canada played a great game, but Miller was fantastic and deserved to win that game with how he played.

Brodeur did make some very good saves at important times, but he lost the game for Canada with his outrageous puck handling techniques. He tried to do too much. All Canada needed was for their goalie to not lose the game for them, but instead he decided that he wanted to audition for Cirque du Soleil, and coughed up the puck which in a few instances, lead directly to American goals.

brodeurs technique helps him make some terrific saves, but at the same time prevents him from make standard saves. twice last night, he let in goals that any goalie would make. the one that hit off the inside of his pad, because his pad wasnt on the ice, and the one where his stick was somehow under him.

i seriously believe that had luongo been in net, canadas three goals would have held up.

Let me tell you, Mike, that I am incredibly glad that Bobby Lu wasn't in nets last night.

i like how he says we are shooting 40 something shots a game at "these goalies"....and saying they are flopping all around to make saves....

sounds like he isn't giving them any credit

Maybe, maybe not. While I am definitely glad we faced Brodeur and not Luongo, you have to remember that Brodeur did make a few high quality saves that, who knows whether or not Luongo would have been able to snare.

At the end of the day, coaching is just as big of a part as playing the game itself, and if the US staff was able to select the right goaltender and Canada wasn't, Americans deserve the bragging rights for the win anyways. :D

Especially since it was Brodeur who was flopping around, out of position, and making poor decisions himself.

Even with Luongo, I'm not sure Canada gets by Russia. The Russian team is playing much better than I expected. Canada better bring their game, because you know Russia will.

As a Canadian, I for one hope Brodeur never steps on the ice in Vancouver for the rest of the games. Brodeur is a classless bitch and a sore loser, he has to face it that he lost and it was his fault.

With Luongo in net now for Canada makes me feel a little bit better but the last big game Bobby Lou was in was in the playoffs (Chicago beat down) and he got lit up like a christmas tree.

can we get back to how Brodeur is a douche? I'll start. (these don't have to be true)

Brodeur kicks puppies while eating infants.
