TSN's post-game of the Bandits at Rock game

Quote:
Tavares said he's uncertain if he'll play next year.

"I won't say anything about that now but my body is definitely telling me to stop."

19 season career, every single one in Buffalo
236 regular season games played
692 goals and 777 assists for 1,469 points (first all-time for all three; only player ever to breach 1,400 points)
31 playoff games played
72 goals and 101 assists for 173 points
1,941 loose balls (second all-time)
4 time champion and 1992 playoff MVP
Two-time league MVP
Multiple-time first-team all-star (if my math is correct, 11 tims)

Record holder for most points in a season

Is it any coincidence that both of the greatest athletes in Buffalo history wore #11? At 41 years old, maybe it really is time for the Ageless Wonder to finally hang his stick up.

I'd get all upset, but everyone knows my feelings on why Perreault was the best Sabre of all-time.

He could've played with the Gaits during his rookie year, but instead destroyed the league with Darris Kilgour, Jim Veltman, and "Hollywood" Tom Marechek.

Thought this was a joke or something first, because immediately my mind went to Tavares of the Islanders.

:(

Perreault is without question the greatest Sabre of all time.

One of the greatest players, he had an amazing career. I remember the good 'ol days during the mid to late 90's going to see the "Thruway rivalry" games in Rochester between the Knighthawks and Bandits.

That would have been really cool.
