I would have thought you'd be depressed phil, i mean we now have a thread for lydman rumors, and with the trade deadline less than 24 hours.

I am...I have this horrible feeling that I won't be able to cheer for my favorite Finnish two-time Olympian tomorrow when the ceremony goes down because he'd been traded.

I've always argued keeping lydman over tallinder to a guy at the fire hall, based on the physicality, and the shot blocking. the guy really hates lydman though. I just hope if he is traded we don't get the short end of the stick.

I need to find a website to get text alerts from throughout the day tomorrow. TSN refuses to help me because I am a yankee.

Rogers SportsNet doesn't discriminate.

Too bad they charge by the message.

Whoops, I forgot I signed up for their free email updates last season...having a BlackBerry helps immensely.

My physics teacher is a huge hockey fan, albeit a Leafs fan, so I'll probably just get up to speed on all the trades while in his class.

81812 is the NHL's text alert service number. Text TRADE to that number for updates.

Also my friend's textbook makes me laugh so bad because there's this chapter on "sibling abuse" and it's about all these things that are normal.... I'm like uhhhh chasing your sibling around the house with a butcher knife is pretty standard in my experience. My ten-year-old and eight-year-old brothers do that on the regular. I did the same with my brother closest to me in age when we were little. I used to tie him to a tree and leave him there. For punishment when we fought my mother would make us hold hands. Any kind of physical fight and name-calling is totally normal, and the more time you spend together, the worse it is in general. Just, if someone else tries to do that, they're gonna die. I got into fights with the neighbor kids when they tried to mock the same brother that I would gladly beat up on some days lol. It's just lolololol at that entire chapter in the book. We just laughed and laughed at it while sharing stories of how we'd pull knives on our siblings and say things like, "When I'm grown up and have guns I'm going to go to your house and kill you!" with complete seriousness, but now our siblings are good friends of ours. People are always shocked when a nine-year-old or whatever kills another kid, but really I never am because pretty much all kids are capable of that at one point or another, without realizing the true severity of their actions. If siblings close in age aren't that way, those are some pretty abnormally loving kids coupled with great parents, either that or they're really alike and/or have been through a lot together.

This post was so timely. When I was on the phone with my mother about ten minutes ago she abruptly hung up only to call back a few minutes later all, "Josh was chasing Keith around with a knife!" Josh is the 8-year-old. Bahahaha. Man, I need to get together with my cousins and two oldest brothers and reminisce for hours again. That's so much fun. REMEMBER THAT TIME I ALMOST KILLED YOU?! *everybody keels over laughing*

I'm Facebook friends (lol) with two of the old neighbor kids. I haven't seen them since I was eleven, but I could message them the next time my family's in town and see if they want to get together so we can all laugh at how stupid yet awesome we were. Too bad we couldn't go back and see our old houses because they're down a mile-long ~private drive~ that is dirt. Well, our landlady used to open the farm up once a year to the community and have this whole shindig in which newspaper photographers would come and there would be horse rides and lots of food and hay rides around the property, including to our houses. The person driving the tractor would give a history lesson about the houses to the people on the rides. I would pretend I was a tourist and didn't actually live there so I could do everything. The neighbor kids and I would make a great game out of it every year to trick people. "OH MY GOODNESS THAT HOUSE IS SO COOL I WISHED I LIVED THERE. *giggle*" Maybe she still does that. Yeah, anyway.

Got Missy a pair of tickets for us to attend Riverdance on Saturday. I'm pretty sure she's dancing around her house with the guinea pig right now in excitement.

i was thinking it would be better if they pushed the trade deadline back to the point where they know whether or not the team is going to be in the playoffs. cause it looks like the sabres are falling out of position and regier looks like a chicken with it's head cut off, not having a clue what to do. i mean he's either got to decide if this season is playoffs or not.

Leave it to the NHL to turn Sidney Crosby on his knee's into publicity for this kid. I personally thought it wasn't the first and wouldn't be the last crosby would be on his knees, but i guess the suck-ups rule.

It eventually ended up working.
Dear Spidey, I wish I had known that you were having text alert trouble sooner (aka yesterday) because I usually use ESPN text alerts. They are free. And you could always sign up for other types of news too. But alas it is too late.
