If Miller isn't the cover and Crosby is, I will buy the game and burn the cover art.

If Miller is on the cover, then I will never sell that cover art, or not include it when I trade in NHL 11 for NHL 12.

OK, how it works is, EA will make a special case insert for the promo materials that specifically caters to each market by putting their local superstar on it. Datsyuk in Detroit, OV in DC, Luongo in Vancouver, etc.

I could care less if he does it. Frankly, he should. He's the player the NHL pushes on us, so it's an unspoken obligation of him to do stuff like this as face of the league.

That is absolutely not of the quality that EA would release for a cover. Like Phil said, this is just a local promotional cover. As much as I want that cover to be real, I'll wait a while longer to see a more 'official' leak.

Umm EA makes one cover guy for the year, just like the Madden franchise with the exception of the two Steeler's players who made it on the cover the other year. And most of the time with the pre-sale and promo covers all they say are NHL 11 or whatever the year is without a picture.

And especially with NHL they put players who have a huge name in the sport and everyone knows them.

Miller will be a candidate for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if Malkin was on an NHL cover at some time, or even Ovechkin again.

Crosby has turned them down, most likely because he knows everyone would burn that cover, and he isn't a true face of hockey. (kidding, he's a tremendous player)

Heck, put old school guys on the cover then.

OH! and nhl 11 is on the EAs inventory list for games this year. it was never in question, but its OFFICAL.

It's never a doubt, NHL 10 is too huge of a game to not make more of and improve it.

If Ryan Miller is on the cover of NHL 11 I will pre-order the game and never EVER give it away. I'll probably protect the case/game itself too

Phil is actually correct, recently game stores have been printing off area-specific promo covers before the official cover has been announced.

ea makes alot of covers for say sweden with a sedin, or kane in north america, or kovalchuk in russia.
