I really miss him in the broadcasts. Anyone know how his recovery is going?

No idea, but I won't be surprised whatsoever if Robi retires after this season and Danny Gare re-joins the broadcast team full-time. I have no inside information or anything, I just have a hunch.

That would be a huge disappointment. Nothing against Gare, but he's just stale compared to Roby.

I like gare alot, but i think out of respect, roby has to go back in, to be honest tho, i dont know if he is gonna come back, i think the injury is more serious than we think it is or have been told, i still miss jim lorentz, harry is ok, but hes nowhere near lorentz, IMO

Roby did the 50-50 raffle with Gilbert Perrault tonight. The arena exploded when they showed the two on the jumbotron.

I don't know how anybody could prefer Gare to Roby. Gare is so...so....bland in his commentary. Roby, on the other hand, is funny, biting and insightful in his commentary.

There are some commentators who are very pro-Sabre BUT tell-it-like-it-is when that needs to be done. Roby is one of those guys and I love watching/listening.

Without Roby, those intermission reports are a lot less interesting to me. Saw a clip of him doing that drawing and I was horrified at how debilitated he looked. Hope he gets better soon.

I enjoy having Danny Gare on the intermission reports just for the fact that I can yell DANNY GARE every time he shows up on screen

We almost had the entire arena give him a standing ovation. It was a cool moment.

That was a really special moment. He looked like he was hurting pretty bad though, poor Roby I can only imagine what Celino and Barnes' pants looked like after they heard about his accident.

Roby looked spirited, but not terribly well physically. Good to see him up and moving around.

I love Roby. That being said I wouldn't be opposed to a changing of the guard. Between Harry and Roby, the old guys are making it feel like a hockey lecture sometimes. Especially Harry with his "memory" issues. i like Roby and his enthusiasm and love for the team though and even though I would be technically ok with a change I'd rather he satyed. For the love of God though get Harry into a home and off my television!
