How many games does a player have to play in order for this year to be considered his rookie year? Is it 9?

What about the rules for the playoffs? How many times can you call up/ send down players?

I think you have to play in at least 50% of the teams games that year to not be considered a rookie.

When Stafford was called up in 07 he played 43 games so he was a rookie then but not the next year?

I do believe, for Goalies I think it's 25 games?

As I said in the GDT, the call on Rivet was horseshit. The Bruins player was holding onto Rivet's stick like it was the last fucking raft on the Titanic.

I thought Gerbe was a Boston Bane. and Ennis doesn't seem like he's ready to play at the NHL level on road games. he plays well at home though.

I'm not sure I agree with this entirely, but I do submit that Ennis was a non factor in Boston. I would like to see what Ennis does with Connolly and Vanek back.

As for Gerbe, I am surprised on his lack of offensive contributions, but I give this kid an A+++++ for his tenacity and his defensive play. I've seen this kid diving to block passes or push the puck out of the zone and he shows no fear going into the corners for a guy of his size. He is interesting and his size put aside for a moment, I would like to see him up next season as long as he is paired with Kassian on the RW and a decently sized, skilled Center.
I don't think he is a total loss that much is for sure.

Okay he has 8 points in 8 games. If you are going to complain about a player, complain about Stafford. Ennis has been producing more than Stafford... A LOT MORE.

And just because he had 0 points in Boston doesn't mean he was a non factor! He carried the puck well and kept it in the zone. He back checked like crazy. Come on. Ennis can go 1 GAME without a point.

Gerbe has Also impressed me with his defense, does not shy away from contact.

His Offense Would increase If he Was Playing with a Top six forward. He's Not going to Put up points Playing with Grier,Gaustad In my opinion

This has some truth to it.

Gerbe backchecks like the dickens at the NHL level, but a tiny backchecking forward billed as a pint-sized scoring dynamo isn't going to last long. How many grievous hits from huge forechecking stars is he going to be able to absorb, or poundings around the net?

I want to see Gerbe do well. I really do. But I just have my doubts about him.

I do wanna point out his attitude has improved 1,000,000% over last season. For that, I'm really proud of him.

size does matter, unless you are, as i pointed out, theo fleury. but he can still be a good hockey player. anyone expecting 100 points a season is likely gonna be very disappointed. 50 is his ceiling, i THINK.

These guys are awesome. I want them to stay up here if not I want Ennis. But how are we to squeeze them into the line up? We have Vanek and Connolly returning, and I think we are going to sit Stafford. Are we going to keep the rooks here until Vanek and Connolly return or something?

Ennis is never seeing Portland again. Gerbe has been more bad than good since being called up. He was crap last night against the Bruins who would just ride him off the puck and into the boards.
