Ok all. Please let me prefeace this by saying I rarely watch TV, so I MAY be behind the 8 ball on this one BUT......I was so disgusted (aren't I always?) this evening after work from 8-5, school from 6-10 and a serious argument with these two assholes Jameson and Guinness (My mick Grams passed away a week ago so I'm on a huge "drink your face off on homeland booze like its going out of style kick") to find out that apparently VH1 has created a BRAND NEW (insert Joey Lawrence "Whoa" quote here) reality show that is centered around the lives of NBA Wives....and let me tell you guys..........you think the Holocaust was rough? you have NO IDEA how hard these women's lives are!!!

According to them, you just COULD NOT imagine how tough it must be to wake up at 11 A.M. every day in a 20,000 square foot estate in South Florida with full-time nanny, chef, gardner and butler. Apparently, it's goddamned terriblel..... The AGONY these poor women are put through on a bi-yearly basis, having to occasionally do their motherly duties and drive their own children to school functions and doctors appointments. How degrading must it be to walk in to your child's pediatrician's office and actually know the doctor and the child's health history......oh the shame!!! These women are saints with all the shame and embarrassment they must feel being "common folk"

Now, the fact that this show exists really doesn't bother me, at all. Someone offers me a boatload of $ to be on T.V? I'm in! But, my problem with this show falls under to the "are you seriously that fucking far removed from society that you...." category. I'm watching a show, where rich, stuck up, gold diggin, never had a job, C-bag wives of NBA players are arguing over who is the biggest tightwad for not paying their "fair share" on a $35 coffee shop bill with 8 women at the table. After this "debate" is resolved, these women all get in to their $100,000 plus cars (which of course they don't pay for) and drive away angry, talking shit to the cameras about how awful all their "friends" are and it got me thinkin about how unbelievably terrible some become when they get money. Seriously, catch the show some time. You'll be amazed by the things these "women" complain about. Life must be sooooooo shitty for some rich people, I cannot even begin to imagine.

Sounds just as bad as that 'Real Housewives' series.

There have been studies done on how money affects people. I remember reading about how people that win money, or come accross money by luck or circumstance don't lead very fulfilling lives because they haven't earned any of it.

I wish I had the exact quote this "C U Next Tuesday" made about having to take her daughter to the doctor's as if she had more pressing needs to attend to. People like this should not breed

Hey, it's a hard life to marry a basketball player, get all this free stuff, and have to go through the utter pain of the divorce when he's cheating on you during every road trip and you take him for 30% alimony. Cut these bitches some slack!!

Shows like this make me very glad I don't have cable or tv of any kind at home.

Mmhmm.

Personally I hope I am never that rich (lol as if that's a possibility). It's not worth it.

That happens to regular people plenty of times. The same amount of times these NBA wives suffer through it.

Must suck to have whatever you have ever dreamed of and to not worry about if a check will bounce or if you're gonna run out of gas for the week.

Sounds like they have it so much harder then us folks who have to live a much cheaper life.

I bet they still go to a fast food place and order off the Dollar Menu too, or find the cheapest item on the menu and order it.

The notion that having more money (to that extent) creates an easier life is a bit odd to me. It seems that it would just create an extreme amount of ennui, not to mention all the other problems that come along with it. In the physical sense, all your needs will always be met, but in the realm that truly matters and actually determines happiness/contentment in life... I don't know. I would imagine it creates a lot of loneliness.

That is why money can't ever buy you happiness, well in theory it can, but true happiness and love is not something bought, it is something you earn.

I'd rather be loved by a beautiful women for me and not by hundreds or even thousand women because I have money.

Take those shows with a grain of salt, there is hardly anything "real" about those reality shows. It's basically one big stage full of talentless people pretending that they can act.
