After watching multiple slow motion reviews of the hit on Vanek, that was careless and to me, in any event, was an intent to injure. Boston fans scream about Buffalo's play (Kaleta, Myers) well take a look in the mirror. That play was pure bullshit, no class, scumbagery on the largest scale.

I think I said this somewhere else, but amazing. The same guy who cries for two days over a harmless shoulder check from Myers that got a teensy bit too close to his head, takes out our leading on-fire scorer with a completely careless and questionable whack at his knee. I doubt he'll get suspended, but fuck him. Seriously.

I hope we give him a real reason to complain in this series.

There have been several times this season when you've seen a guy on a breakaway go awkwardly into the boards because the "smart" play is to wipe him out completely. It's a dangerous play and the NHL needs to do something about it for sure.

Vanek got slashed in the right knee and was staying off his left when he got up. The injury occurred when Boychuk landed on him I think.

I just think if you want a player to take out another player the way Savard was taken out (2nd degree concussion), then you and any player who agrees should instead be involved with x-treme fighting, not hockey.

I don't enjoy seeing any of these guys getting hurt like that. I think anybody who does is sick in the head.

I truly believe he intended to injure Vanek, therefore I wouldn't mind seeing Boychuk on the receiving end of such play...After game 1 he was whining about Myers hitting him and now he hacks somones knee, what a bitch. I never really cared about Boston, now I'm starting to hate them.
