I knew Halak wouldn't be able to hold onto stopping 40 shots a game for long.

True, it was basically going to be how long could Halak hold up against Washington before he finally got crushed.

but Price played well in relief of him, only allowing one goal.

Its disappointing. I thought Halak would really hold the fort...obviously he's not ready to face that kind of onslaught night after night.
