I though those were kind of funny the first time. They're getting old quickly, though.

I hate the Old Spice commercials. The buff guy busting out gets kind of annoying and really gross.

Because Lindy's words don't reach em anymore, but they still go through the motions.

I love Lindy Ruff, but I think that at this point both he and the team would benefit from parting ways. Twelve seasons is too long a time to remain a coach of the same team in this league. They clearly do not listen to him when his heart isn't in it, and his faith in them wanes too often.

I would hate to see him leave, but that does not matter when the contracts of several players who may end up being amongst the best the Sabres have ever had, whether or not those contracts are wasted, are at stake.

I don't get it, people always want to correlate Lindy's tenure with how his player apparently don't listen to him. It's not like he's had the same players for the 12 years he's been the Sabres' head coach, and I don't think any fan is in a position to know what goes inside the locker room to know if the players aren't listening/don't care about what Lindy says.

Ruffs tenure does play a roll, while he hasnt had all of these particular players for all 12 years he has had them since, what, 05-06? that almost 5 years of the players hearing the same thing season in and season out. after a while it gets to the point of "in one ear and out the other." while it does seem to work every now and then, eventually a shake up is needed to get "new blood" and new ideas in the locker room.

the thing is though Ruff has had 12 years and has only managed 1 cup appearance, 3 ecfs. while he does have a lot of wins, anyone who is with the same team for that long is bound to rack up some W's. that doesnt mean that hes necessarily doing any good behind the bench. hell, even this year, Millers play is the reason the teams where they are now. without Miller, the sabers would be watching the playoffs at home.

I agree with this completely.

Also, isn't it the players JOB to listen to the coach? Isn't he their boss? Now, if I don't do my job, and I don't listen to my boss.....I get FIRED. I think some people put too much of this on the coach. He can yell and scream, or play things passively, or anything else he wants to do til he's blue in the face, but if this group of players won't listen, then THEY need to go. If they won't listen to Lindy, what makes you think they'll listen to someone else? Say you bring in a new guy and the same group of "core" players still doesn't listen. Then you either have to fire your coach AGAIN, or do what you shoulda done in the first place - get rid of the people not buying in - except now you are without a 4 time conference finals coach who knows damn well what he's doing.

Getting rid of Lindy would be an absolute mistake.
