As I said in the GDT, the call on Rivet was horseshit. The Bruins player was holding onto Rivet's stick like it was the last fucking raft on the Titanic.

This.

I think the refs are more on the take than all of Boston's finest. (If you can call them that)

Looking past our series, the reffing in this whole playoffs has been garbage. I can go back to the Hawks/Preds game from last night. A penalty shot when the guy picks up a lose puck from the hash marks in and gets hooked. Seriously. But yet, as Gary stated today/night... he has complete faith in his on ice and off ice officials.

Don't that just make ya feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

I love you for that comment.

I'm honestly thinking of sigging that quote.

When I started watching the game was tied up, and all penalties were gone by then.

If anyone has clips of those penalties and also clips or audio of Ruff and Miller in the post game please share.

Miller was Miller.

Montador was Killer.

McCormick gave us a great boost.

Youngsters Ennis, Kennedy, Myers, and Sekera all played good hockey.

Tim Connolly looked more in form (although still not quite there, you can tell it's a matter of conditioning from being injured.)

The grinders ground hard.

Roy and Pominville played great.

Stafford played pretty strong until... :|

I'm sure the Buffalo news/WGR will have them soon enough, Sky. Consider yourself lucky you didn't have to put up with the BS calls.

I agree completely with this, PSP. The boys showed up for the first 60 minutes + of this post season. Miller played like some one with a twitch on redbull. I still can't believe the saves he made in the first OT.

Well I'm sure when I wake up they will be posted.

Lets hope game 5 isn't as full of shit like this one, maybe the refs will be on our side for once.

I know, that is just wishful thinking.

Lindy's press conference was short, but he said more than what you guys are quoting.

The comment about "we didn't blow it" was in response to, I believe, a Paul Hamilton question about losing the 2-0 lead in the 3rd.

At that point, Lindy made the now-infamous comment and walked off.

By the way.....
What is the word from any neutral sources on this game? I ask this because it would be a good reality check to see if an objective observer thought the officiating was lopsided.

I think the storming off was completely warranted. I'd sooner do that then be charged with pulling a Wayne Brady (Choking a bitch..)

The boys didn't blow it with their play tonight. The too many men, legit call. But if the refs weren't on the take as they obviously were in this series (which was seen tonight ultimately) this game doesn't go to OT.

Abominable, a Travesty, Atrocious, Horrendous...thats just the first few words I can use to describe the officiating. After the ridiculous interference no-call on Recchi that cost us Game 3, this game was that much worse.

How can someone call an goalie interference call when the player didn't even touch the fucking goalie?

How can you call boarding for a shoulder-to-shoulder hit from the side when a clear hit in the back wasn't even called?

The only worse officiating I've seen in the playoffs is when the Sabres got screwed on the goal in the Flyers series (I think 2000 or 2001) when the puck went through the net and of course, the 1999 no-goal.

No post game comments on the Sabres site yet. Gonna wait until morning, and if there's not online, something's up.

They are on WGR, though. Lindy's and Miller's. Miller's is buggy and forces a download, however.

I know fanbases are known to be biased and think that the officiating was crooked, but come on man, anyone watching that game could see how awful the officiating was. Is there really anyone out there who could say that McCormick's and Kaleta's penalties were good calls?

It's pretty ironic that after the first three games being called loosely to the Bruins advantage, that game four is called tightly with BS calls against Buffalo.

This is the worst combination of events. I feel demoralized about Buffalo losing (after a 3rd period lead AGAIN), and have yet another reason to question my loyalty as an NHL fan. It's really hard to feel good about hockey when such horrible officiating invalidates the most crucial part of the season.

The same officiating crew should be assigned to an entire series. At least the team's would know what to expect each game. Instead we have yet another example of inconsistent calls, and of course they go against Buffalo.

I really need to get a referee efigy to burn, and a voodoo doll to stick. Or maybe I'll just finally pull the trigger on myself for caring so much about the lost cause of a Stanley Cup victory.

Just using HF Boards, turns out the only persons who think the Sabres didn't get hosed are Bruins fans telling us to quit whining. I'm sure the TSN comments are the same way.

What sucks is that at the end of the day, they came through on their power plays and we didn't.

Agreed too, minus the Stafford part. He looked like he doesn't belong again with some really shitty turn overs and then the bone head penalty at the end.
