A Pittsburgh/Boston series will be interesting because of, among other things, the Cooke/Savard incident. Those two have not seen each other since that day.

Will Pittsburgh get past Montreal is the question?

Stop counting out Montreal already.

I know I have stopped counting them out. Halak is out goaltending Fleury so far in this series by a long shot

It would be weird to see Boston in the Finals, but not that weird. I never felt like there was a runaway favorite in the east, even when Washington was raping anything in existence. I hope it wakes the Sabres up thinking, shit, that could very easily be us right now.

Well Montreal did win against Washington in Round one. They can easily win against team like Pittsburgh. They are tied at 2 games a piece. The only teams to count out right now is Philly, and slightly Detroit.

You really cannot criticize anybody for favoring the Pens over another team. It's a logical bet.

Still, maybe you're not aware that I warned about Montreal just before the playoffs started. They had become healthy, their goaltender was doing exceptionally well and they seemed to have gelled as a team.

I just thought Washington was unstoppable, hardly an indictment of Montreal. Round 2 they faced the Pens, who are, to say the least, one of the most dangerous post-season opponents you could draw.

If Montreal can take out the Caps and the Pens with a 1-2 punch in best-of-7s like this, then they deserve the friggin' cup.

Oh, I only recalled PSP saying watch out for Montreal.

But you can't count them out, and no matter who the Bruins face it is going to be really tough for them, will we see Pittsburgh light them up? Or Montreal just shut them down offensively also.

I'm not going to knock on Boston, but now all they have is basically Savard and Satan who can score on that team.
