It's not a done deal until the Glendale city council votes on it.

And they might not vote for a deal that puts them on the hook for $30 million.

Yea, I mean, how would the City of Glendale approve the deal that holds THEM accountable for any losses the team incurs? That's straight up retraded!

its only for one season, and it sounds like its going to be a unanimous vote to keep the team in glendale. they are even considering scheduling a special meeting so it gets done faster.

We will know Tuesday about the fate of hockey in Phoenix. Also I can't believe that the state of Arizona is thinking of taxing the people of Arizona just to pay for the Coyotes losses, if I lived in that state I would say fuck that shit and let the team move

Would you say fuck this shit if it were the sabres (that were magically in your province) that were going to move? If I lived in Arizona and was a fan of my team, hell no would I want them to go.

If I was a fan, I wouldn't mind. But to a non fan, that really sucks

how much is this tax going to matter? the average tax payer may lose, at most, 10 dollars a year. oh, the horror!

Yea, I mean, Brad or whatever, you're die-hard for your OHL. If coughing up 10-20 bucks a year from everyone in London would keep the Knights from moving, you'd be all over that like herpes on Paris Hilton.

I actually would be if it was 10-20 buck but anymore I wouldn't bother, it would be the Hunters problem if they had huge debts to pay. I love watching sports but I really would not want to fork over money to keep a sports team alive but that just me.

$10 here, $10 there... it's how New York ended up in the mess that we get charged for EVERYTHING.

Look, I know all of your thoughts on Twitter, but Darren Dreger (who we call concur is SUPER legit) just tweeted Ice Edge has told Glendale it is backing out without exclusivity.

It's funny, because most taxpayers have already paid their dues and are still paying for arena costs.

The city of Glendale owns Jobbing.com Arena and pays for it, part of it is sponsored by Jobbing.com, but the city AKA taxpayers, are still paying for that arena.

The only sports teams that don't, are ones owned by the owners of the teams that play there.

HSBC Arena is owned by the City of Buffalo, everyone here is paying for the Buffalo Sabres with State Tax already.

The city of Glendale has until the end of today to produce exclusivity. If they do, Ice Edge is sticking around. If they don't, Ice Edge walks away.

Not until at least one more year, they already are guaranteed for one more year, or at least that was what was said the team is in Glendale for one more year.

This is Ice Edge Holdings' official Twitter account, for anyone that wants to follow them. They seem to be very open with details.
