He's just barely legal, right?

Just barely. He was underage when he was drunk on Chippewa last year, assaulting the cabbie.

 I'd say "looks like he's gonna be an alcoholic" but it's still early.

Did Dave Tallon show up?? He's basically the equivalent of Bill Polian. The NHL is now the NRHL (No Respect Hockey League) for no one mentioning his hand in this body of work. To say he wasn't critical to this cup win is ridiculous.

Might wanna get off that soapbox dude - the Blackhawks have already publicly stated that Dale Tallon will be receiving a Stanley Cup ring for his work putting that squad together.

I was referring to the NBC post-game for the most part. I don't remember hearing his name at all, although I had not even heard this. Kind of strange that a guy they fired would get a ring(and btw who decides who gets them), isn't it.? I've never heard of any fired coach or GM getting trophies. I simply meant accolades from peers. Imagine if the Bills win the Super bowl, and we gave Skeletor a ring?????? That's awesome.

Well, I don't know exactly rules regarding rings, but I'd imagine it's the same as for who goes on the Cup. That rule, I believe, is that the winning team has a certain number of slots they have to fill with who they see fit. I could be wrong, though.

As for the link to the story that he's getting one, here it is.

i believe that since the team supplies the rings that they can give whoever they want one.

as for the cup, there are rules for who goes on there. ever since some owner put his mother on there, or something like that.

That was the Avs, and believe it or not, she was actually an employee of their front office at the time. You're thinking of Peter Pocklington, former owner of the Oilers, putting his father's name on it for no damn reason.
