I will be leaving for North Carolina on Thursday, July 22nd and returning Saturday July 31st.

The family is heading down for "beach week" which is myself, my dad, my two sisters (18 and 19), and their friend Meagan (18) staying in a cottage right on the beach with my grandma, Aunt Lynn and Uncle Pete and their two kids, Kelly (12) and David (10), and my Uncle Pat and for a night his daughter Brittany (18).

We're making base camp in DC that Thursday/Friday, doing the Smithsonian and some stuff, and heading for the beach on Saturday. Will be on the beach Saturday to Saturday. Gonna be sweet.

Sweet. I've been wanting to go swimming in the ocean soooo badly lately, so I'm envious. My mother's side of the family goes to Maine every year and rents cabins at the same place, has for decades, but the only time my family's ever joined them was when I was twelve, and I forget how long ago that was until I realize my youngest brother was a baby at the time. I went out with them when I was seventeen, though. Most of the people that vacation there are from Quebec. French is more commonly spoken on the beach than English lol.

I'll be in DC myself a month from now. Friend and I are going to hit up the Smithsonian, the Holocaust Museum, various memorials... fun stuff. I've never been.
