OK, I'll be honest. I don't like Kennedy, I do think that whatevers happening is the start of something HUGE. I feel bad for anyone that gets put in Kennedy situation. Something HUGE is brewing, it's the only reason this makes sense.

If they wanted to do something big, they could have just done it, even if it would have caused them to exceed to cap. They don't have to be under for a while yet.

Like Squanto said, if this is over a measely 200K I'll go bonkers. I'm not huge on Kennedy, but he's a hometown kid with a good attitude that promises to be at least a solid 3rd liner. Of all players to get bought out when Buffalo never does this...I just might become a rioter myself.

if they where to make a big move, probably not, but why not try to trade kennedy instead of waiving him. i mean he's not worth much but maybe to the right buyer, or in a package. Unless Regier is pissed about something that occurred at the arbitration hearing, but still definitely a weird situation. I mean kennedy was actually one of the guys who produced in the playoffs unlike darcy's golden centers.
