I don't like suburbia either - I stick to urban life.

i learned im a city boy. i loved all the activity living near the epicentre of campus life at western. you would hear parties and fireworks, and the marching band practice. i could walk to bars and restaurants, stores, campus. everything i needed was so close.

maybe thats because its college life, i just REALLY enjoyed everything.

I would prefer to be attending college in a city. Instead, I'm in Podunk, Indiana, but I don't mind it on its own merit because I do have my friends. Comparing it with a city, though... I mean, it's college. After a while, though, I'd be like, "OK, who wants to take a day trip to a state park?"

I'm definitely a country person. I did spend my childhood living at the end of a dirt road (that was private and legally a really long driveway with a No Trespassing sign so there was never traffic to say the least) on a gigantic farm that was basically more of a ranch at that point. That probably has something to do with it, though I think my personality would prefer the country even if I'd been raised in Manhattan. (Thinking how I spent my childhood versus how my brothers spend theirs doing nothing but playing Xbox... I'm soooo glad I'm not them.)

kalamazoo was pefect. we were 2 hours from detroit. 2 hours from chicago. half hour from grand rapids. half hour from lake michigan, half hour to south bend indiana. and kalamazoo itself is a larger town. there was always something to do, and the city was busy. but take a 5 minute trip, and you were in nature.

one of the coolest things about grand rapids was you could see the skyline from fields of corn and cherrys. and grand rapids doesnt have that impressive of a skyline. pretty, but not big. i guess i like mid sized cities.

My college is two hours from Chicago. Still haven't taken a day trip there. :(

That seeing the skyline from the middle of corn and cherry fields sounds great... Not living in an area that's anything close to a city, but a city is there for when boredom takes over... and also for shopping. Going out for groceries can be a trip in itself depending on how rural you are.

I just bought a Nissan 240sx with Silvia front end on it. It's not the prettiest car in the world, but it runs and drives, and I have mega plans for it.

It might have been overpriced, but thank you "drift tax" haha

I don't have any good ones of it, but here is a picture of it from the Craigslist ad. I'll snap some when I bring it home.

Image

Title is clear, body is straight, no major rust, only near the sunroof which is typical in 240's, and the front is a genuine S13 Silvia front end direct from Japan, had Japanese letters under the hood. Also the front is metal and not a fiberglass front also.

I quit it over a month ago. I should have said, I need another job, I haven't got one since I quit my last one. Haha

Working a double tomorrow. I've been waiting for these hours all summer. I'm leaving in two and a half weeks. Better late than never. Also I can't wait to leave.

Tonight was pretty awesome. Developed some new organizational systems. Tomorrow should be a piece of cake to prep for.
