look, if they cant find a buyer in the greater phoenix area, and there are other regions with owners and facilities who can put up and support an NHL team, do it.

If this guy manages to neg. a new lease deal BEFORE pitching his bid to buy the team, I'd be damn impressed and I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Considering that's the route he's going, he's got my vote.

and thats fine. i dont mind the southern expansion, except when something fails. if this falls through, pull the damn plug. this should be the yotes last gasp. if it works, great. if it doesnt, winnipeg/hamilton or bust.

OK, Burnside found me out, so I'll admit it. I'm the one trying to buy the Coyotes. My plan is to bring them here to Portland, where they'll play in the Rose Garden, IF, and only if, I can work out a schedule to share it with the Blazers. I've been in negotiations with Paul Allen on that matter for the better part of two weeks. So if the sale falls through, don't blame me.

i think winnipeg. i heard the NHL printed two schedules and sent them out for this past season; one with the coyotes, and one of the yotes renamed "the winnipeg jets."

id like that alot though.
