I had not heard the term Dallas Mooterus until today. Sad.

Looks like ankle surgery for me. Worse yet, the entire left side of my body is FUCKED! Hip, knee, AND now my left ankle is hurting a little. But it's my right ankle I will get surgery on.

I gotta choose between my job and hockey.

"It's so curious: one can resist tears and 'behave' very well in the hardest hours of grief. But then someone makes you a friendly sign behind a window, or one notices that a flower that was in bud only yesterday has suddenly blossomed, or a letter slips from a drawer... and everything collapses."
-Sidonie Gabrielle Colette

I love good quotes I haven't seen before.

OMG they (Yugioh card creators) made not only Gradius (which should be Vic Viper) but they also created Gradius' option! I'm too excited. (Gradius is a running joke with me and my friends, we frequently just yell Speed up!, Laser and Option at each other, and refer to one another as a core.)

In 1965, Dmitri Borgmann noted that this expression:

11 + 2 – 1 = 12

… is valid also when interpreted as a set of characters:

11 “+ 2″ = 112; 112 “- 1″ = 12

… as a set of Roman numerals:

XI + II = XIII; XIII – I = XII

… and even as a set of letters:

ELEVEN + TWO = ELEVENTWO
ELEVENTWO – ONE = LEVETW (= TWELVE)

I really should be pissed off right now. But I'm not.

If you really want to know PM me and I'll talk with you, I honestly don't mind sharing and I can get your input on it and if you think I'm absolutely crazy or not.

Oh my goodness. I've started hanging out with this one group of freshmen because they are quite awesome, but their status updates on Facebook are amazing in a hilarious sort of way. I remember feeling that great about being at college hahaha.

It's weird to think that if I had remained homeschooled I probably would have graduated college at least a year ago. Doing college level work at a high school age is not difficult.... Also in New York homeschoolers are required to take these California Achievement Tests every year (administered by an actual legal teacher) to make sure they're at grade level and I would always test 99th percentile weeee they were stupid. I'd at the very least be a senior instead of a junior because I was held back when I entered school due to being too young for the grade level where I was, in the principal's opinion (which I ended up being fine with, because he knew what he was doing and that that class would be kinder than the one above it)...

why street hockey mask?

it was $5 and i have a cool idea for a Japanese themed mask that i want to do without destroying any of the ones that i already have. i dont necessarily plan on wearing it which is why i didnt care if it was a street or ice mask.

i almost had a nice, i think Cooper, ice hockey mask but the bidding when higher then what i was willing to pay.

The thunder & lightning + crazy rain storm last night caused production on Phil's Myers/Rockets jersey to be delayed until today (electricity issues). Which is ok because I need to remake the name plate anyway as the red is different than the jersey.

Production resumes after work today :D

Wow, I stop reading this thread for a while and lots has happened.

Skyline, don't let feelings blind you from making logical decisions.

HiL, patience is a virtue :P, and us nerds are still cool people ya know.

ATL, You've always had a sense of zen within you. Glad things seem to be going better for ya

As far as myself, I was just told my written qualifying exam will be next friday. 4 hours of exam taking goodness. Wish me luck, as this exam is actually a key, if I don't pass it, I can't get to the next step, as the college won't let me :P. Think of this exam as taking all your past exams, adding up the stress before each of them, and plopping that on my shoulders for the next week :P.

<sigh>

I know SATW, my mind is telling me to move on, it's not worth it, but the deepness of my heart of caring for her doesn't want me to and I want to help her, I want to be with her, but it's most likely just not worth it.

There just isn't anyone else who catches my mind, it might be awhile before that person catches my mind.

She's young and made some mistakes, but I don't hate her for it, I just don't fully understand why she did what she did. All I need is why and I'll be able to move on from it then, or hopefully. I didn't deserve that, but my heart doesn't want to let her go.

I'll make the best decision for me. Even if others disagree or say otherwise in my choice, it's not theirs to make only me, and maybe it will be the one that others are clamoring for, I don't know yet. Only time will tell.

 I am sure it is. I don't usually ever swear because other words suffice in most situations, and I associate swearing with having some kind of emotional weight/meaning behind it though I know that in reality it's pretty much just a part of speaking English and all other languages. :P The other day I went for a three-hour drive with a friend during which I swore frequently for the first time in front of another person lol. I was venting.

I like to swear when it makes a statement more humorous or flow better. That sounds completely ridiculous, but my statements sometimes roll off the tongue better with a casual swear or two thrown in there.
