One of the three ubiquitous deans (and a professor) here abruptly quit Friday, and last night one of my friends was rushed to the ICU in another city and is probably going to die (thyroid along with other medical complications that make it nearly impossible for doctors to do anything; it's never done this to him before, but the president of the college and dean of students are both at the hospital with his family, so... it's serious). I just said hey to him yesterday, and a lot of my friends ate lunch with him. This school year is odd...

He's stabilized. Yay. No more death, especially someone I actually hang out with.

I'm listening to Pandora through my PS3.

I totally forgot it is a computer and can do everything this laptop can do, well with regards to the internet at least.

My fucking cat has been throwing up for a week and a day. Only vet appointment I could find is on Friday. He acts normal, just vomits.

Might have to do with the food. I know my cat used to throw up a lot, and I think it was a combination of the food we were feeding her and the treats we were giving her. Especially if your cat is an old cat, his stomach is likely to be more sensitive. You might just have to switch to cat food that is specially made for older cats, which is what we had to do for our cat.

In other news, I'm pretty sure I just did my absolute worst on any test I have ever taken ever in college. Super cool!

My cat is about 3 years old. He has the same food since he was a kitten.

Visiting other colleges makes me realize that mine is abnormally boisterous. I like where I go to school.

I've come to the realization over time that my High School is so tolerant as a whole that I don't want to leave. I'm not sure how or why, but the place has a very laid back atmosphere that just helps keep things calm. I hate that I'm a junior.

I wouldn't go back to high school at all.

If I was forced to go back, I would do better in my classes and apply to go to NC State when I was going to.

A lot would have changed in my life if I had just gone there.

But then again, I probably would not be playing hockey, and be getting fat. Who knows? And I wouldn't be as damn shy either.

I should have went to Physics class Monday, and the times I skipped.

I got to do homework by tomorrow and I have a test tomorrow in that class on Work, energy, Conservation of energy and that stuff, all the stuff I skipped and I can't figure out Work and stuff right now.

It's fun trying to figure out homework when you need to teach yourself, which isn't that hard, but the book is terrible at giving me what I need.

So, um, at Walmart earlier, I realized water guns now suck. They've been wimpified or something. I know they're genuinely not even close to being as big as the largest ones when I was a child and that it's not just a perspective issue because the largest ones now are cheaper than the medium-sized ones when I was eight (I remember saving up for them), and it's been long enough since then for inflation to have quite an effect on price.

Work = Change in Energy

Energy conservation - energy is conserved. Thus for a system, if no external work is done on it, delta KE + delta PE = 0. Add the work done on it if it exists.

You can calculate work from the change in KE and PE.

Don't over think it. It's pretty simple.

I got it. I just needed to see it. I took the test already, didn't seem that hard to me.
