They'll be fine. Wait until these guys get it together.

7 games into the season and I'm suppossed to wait for them to get it together?

I guess come playoff time (big if by current standards) I should say the same thing when their down 2 games to none in a series?

This doesn't make any sense what-so-ever as far as my thoughts on it go.
But, you may be correct PSP, in a very young season they have plenty of time to turn it around.
The reality is though, I don't personally see it happening.

I get what you're saying, but you can't really compare a slow start in the beginning of the season to a playoff series. They are two completely different animals.

Didn't really watch the game last night. I was getting ready to go out so I had it on as background, but I got to see the empty netter as I was walking into the party last night. Good times.

Plenty of teams have started as bad or worse and gone on to make the playoffs or win the cup. Not saying it looks good right now, but it's not a harbinger of a doomed season either.

Last year: YAY WE DID GOOD! Can't wait for this year! Darcy made some decent pick ups. Best he could do.

This year: (Unsuspecting bad play from Sabres, last year's 3rd in the conference team is now crap) FIRE DARCY HE SUUUXXXXX

Please, stop blaming Darcy for the blame of the Sabres play. Listen to logic. Stop listening to fucking tools who spew random shit about Darcy.

Looks like you missed the last 2 1/2 seasons since I've been posting on forums and most definitely were not around me since the 06-07 season. I have been true to my opinion that Darcy Regier needs to be axed, and immediately, I've been saying it for a long, long time now.

The proof is in the product on the ice this season as well as the overwhelming evidence in the rafters at HSBC Arena.
13 years, 12 seasons and 1 lockout year and NO LORD STANLEY CUP BANNERS in the rafters speaks louder than I or any group or individual can scream.

Because 2 years he couldn't pick up FA'S or make good trades. That means he sucks? Vancouver hasn't won a cup either, and they have an great GM. Every year before the 06/07 offseason Darcy did good. You even blamed him for this year, which now you've fallen back on because you've realized it's a horrible argument.

Thats right, completely ignore the overwhelming facts I just stated and try to tunnel vision it to a narrowed area or subject.

Sorry B&Y, but that dog don't hunt.

You say we have no cups. Since the lockout, we've done pretty well. We've came close many times even before then.

VANCOUVER HASN'T WON A CUP EITHER. Great GM. It's not our GM, bud.

Well then we will have to agree to disagree. I will continue to rail against Darcy Regier until he is gone.
You have your opinion, I have mine.

Edit: And as for your comment on me "falling back on my argument", you couldn't be more wrong. I will hold my ground, as I've done my entire life on any stance I take.

Coming close only counts with hand grenades and horseshoes, the rest is merely fodder for the cannon.

I meant your argument about Darcy being to blame for this season.

I know you did, and I haven't waivered once on the subject. And as for just this season, how about the last 4 seasons as well as the gigantic, no, fucking enormous fuck up of getting nothing for Breire or Drury, including the fact 1 or both were not resigned for 5 mil a piece for 5 seasons as their agents had submitted a full season before their departure.

Nope, Reiger is the focul point of many gastly mistakes made in 12 seasons. ECF appearances or not, its all irrelevant. To date, this team has not shown forward progress with bungling him and his managament team have done. These, unfortunately are not opinions, they are facts, to be digested, assessed and discussed as the clock continues to tick in his tenure here in Buffalo.

You keep bringing up the Drury Brier incident. Drury wasn't coming back no matter what Darcy did, and Darcy at least made an offer at Brier.

For this year, he picked up two decent defenemen (small upgrade over Lydman and Tallinder) and picked up a 3rd line veteran center. Not much to complain about considering we were 3rd in the conference and a playoff team. HE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS YEAR.

I admit the team royally fucked up with Drury and Briere because of that no negotiating during the season bullshit. But was that a policy of Larry Quinn or Darcy Regier, that is the biggest thing we don't know.

It was a terrible thing that happened, but the team is going in the right direction without Briere and Drury now. Obviously you lose two top centers your team will struggle for a few years. It's in the right direction again.
