My Thursday last week was probably one of the better days I have had.

I played a game last night with a terrible team. We had four guys on defense and well I had to fly up and down the ice and ended up being so tired. But the defensive guys were all pretty decent, the three of us had good control with the puck and great skating, only one guy wasn't that great but he did fine.

We had a few chances but ended up losing that game. I was probably the fastest skater on both teams easily. There were a few times where the other guys ended up getting a few steps on me but before you knew it I was in front of them already. The offense on that team needs to get together and work on positioning and making sure to not leave the point guys open and let their defensive guys take care of the corners, because every time we chipped it out the other team was right there on the puck because none of the forwards were outside the blue line or close enough to it.

I really skated my ass off. It was also weird playing on NHL sized ice instead of International sized ice. It really does make the game much more intense and a lot more board work and a bit quicker. My legs are a little sore right now, and I fell and my hip hurts from where the pants don't have pads so I of course hit that part on the ice, and my lower back hurts a little from a bit of a twist up with a guy that seemed to stretch me a bit too much.

But my regular team plays tomorrow night and I can't wait for that too.

I have no idea what I did to get so much ~drama~ this semester, but it's making up for the rest of my life in which I'd never had any. It's weird. I'm the most conflict-avoidant/solving, drama-averse girl I know. My reaction when people blow up is to be even more polite than usual. I don't understaaaaand. My friends don't know what's up, either. They're all, "It's impossible to be angry with you." Apparently not. D:

It's going to snow this Friday night, which is homecoming. That will be disgusting lol.

Also how do people not know how to research. I'm apparently known for being really good at it and finding what is true, but seriously? All you do is enter some terms. It's amazing how much I'm asked for help with it.

Yeah, it's annoying as shit to see someone predicted to win after 1% has reported.

So I have to write a feature story for my Media Writing class and I had to interview someone to get quotes for my story and I CAN'T FIND THE DAMN PAPER WHERE I WROTE DOWN THE PERSON'S QUOTES. I wrote it down in my notebook, and when I went to go to it, I saw that I had ripped out the page and now I don't know where the hell it is. What is wrong with me? Why the hell would I rip it out of my notebook? I can be such a moron sometimes.

That really sucks. Good luck with finding it.

The school I graduated from has gone from offering $100 off tuition for every family recruited to $1000. They're desperate for new students hahaha. Too bad they're on their fifth year of stupidity. The average graduating class size my first two years was 25-30 students (which is still tiny, but it's a K-12 school and honestly the small size prohibited cliques from forming, prohibited uncoordinated exclusion of students, and it was like a good family and fantastic my first two years) and now it's down three seniors this year.

Wow...what school did you go to, Jael?

Oh and I found my paper...crisis averted! It was sitting on top of my dresser. Why, I don't know. Sometimes I don't even know what goes on in my brain.

lol, my school is going through the same issues. I'm pretty sure they actually had that same change in offering to families, too haha. The school is super broke. They've been cutting back as much as possible, but it still isn't doing enough. They're trying really hard to get exchange students in to get more money flowing, but it isn't helping much. Same thing is happening with the graduating classes. They started out small when the school branched out from pre-k through middle, to full on high school. Then it increased to like 20-25 kids, and now its down to usually 10 to 15ish, only that total now includes juniors who are graduating early. My graduating class had 16 people in it, and almost half of us were juniors graduating a year early.

Anyways, unless they get some financial help soon, they're going to be done for within the next few years... which as much as I didn't like the school, it's sad thinking that I might lose the place that was my second home from the ages of 3 to 17 lol.

West Seneca Christian. It's gotten to the point that they didn't even have a girls soccer team this past season (contrastingly my senior year that team was named the best in WNY out of all public and private school teams), and the guys team had to recruit homeschoolers to play. My brothers don't go there anymore so I don't care about putting the name out there lol. It was a really great place until new people took control and went crazy Baptist on everyone my junior year, getting rid of all the faculty except for one and not caring who they hurt in the process.

I'm glad you found your paper. I do stupid things like that all the time. Currently I've lost what is going to be my schedule for next semester. It will be simple to look up the classes I need to register for again, but the fact that the paper it's on just disappeared is what bothers me lol.

The left side of my jaw fucking hurts. Played a hockey game tonight and it was a 2-on-0 and me being super fast on ice was speeding down the center of the ice trying to catch up, and the one guy is probably 6 foot and 200 pounds and he's on the left side of the net facing it. I go racing down to try and block a pass or shot because it would have been a goal, and he was flying in towards the net with his head down apparently and we collided, both went to the ice, his jaw or something hit the side of my helmet and cage and really stunned me on the left side of my face.

I can't close that side of my jaw all the way and it really hurts, also to open it all the way hurts. It definitely got pulled or stretched too far and it was messing with my hearing in that side as it just hurts.

I was stunned for a second from the hit, but for being 50lbs less then the guy we both went down and stopped dead in our tracks. I don't think it's broke or cracked as I didn't hear any loud noise and I can talk fine.

I just sat down for a few minutes drank some water, and went back out and played hard again. My D partner joked about you played harder after you got hit in the jaw, I laughed also.

For the most part people respect the opinions that I have when it comes to hockey, but sometimes it makes me sad to see how many men totally disregard what have to say or write me off as some puck bunny groupie slut just because I'm a female. It's just a reminder how misogynistic people can still be...
