You might be able to get some good deals on the Impala. The only problem is that the car is outdated compared to the competition. It's not a terrible car, just is lagging behind in a competitive market.

The new Chargers that will be coming out are a drastic improvement compared to the outgoing model, interior materials and build quality is now on par, if not better, than most of the cars it competes with. Plus it's getting the new Pentastar V-6 that was just named to WARD'S 10 Best Engines of 2010.

You might want to take a look at a Ford Fusion, it was good enough to win MotorTrend's car of the year last year. It has SYNC, which I've heard is fantastic and easy to use, build quality is good, and it's pretty practical.

If you're looking used, the 07- and up Camry's and Accords hold their value really well so they might be a bit out of your price range, but you cannot go wrong with them.

As much as I dislike them, take a look at a few Subaru's. The wagons/hatchbacks have a good amount of trunk space. The interiors are nothing to write home about, but they are simple, easy to use, and practical. Plus, you will get one of the best AWD systems in the automotive industry.

Now if you're looking at the low $20k price range take a look at the Suzuki Kizashi. It has recieved excellent reviews amongst auto journalists. MotorTrend just drove one from Japan to LA across some nasty terrain and it held up really well. The engineering is very good with the Kizashi, and you can have them with a manual, and/or AWD. It's a pretty sporty car too from what I've heard, although the four-cylinder doesn't put out a ton of power.

If you have any questions or anything, PM me.

Well, today my uncle, my dad, and myself went to the Auto Auction (my uncle is a car dealer) and we bought an 06 Fusion, got it on a song, $4700, but my uncle has a 2007 Impala LT Limited with the special edition 3.9L Engine (equiped with cold air intake, and a few other mods), Premium sound, Leather, well basically loaded with every option. He said if I give him 2500 + the fusion I bought I can have it. I dont like the color is all, its that weird Chevy bronze, everything else is amazing on it, 24,000 Miles on the car, it's like brand fucking new. So, for now I have an 06 fusion, but I don't much like it to be honest. Rides ok, has a lot of low end power, but we're thinkin about running it through the sale again next week, because we know we can get about 5400 back outa it, and that would take a chunk out of the 2500 he's asking, in which case, I'd upgrade to the Impala. Plus the Fusion is black, and shows every bit of dirt on the fucking thing. I prefer metallic grey, or dark red in my cars.

So right now I've got a month to make about 1000 bucks, or just kinda drive the Fusion until I find a buyer for it.

Good deal. You're uncle can get some really good deals having a dealer license at auction.

Yeah, today we almost bought a G6 GT, that thing was sweet, I got to drive it. Only thing I didn't like was the seat. Arguably the most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat in, and I've sat in some shitty cars before, lol. As for Imports, I just always buy American, it's kinda my preference, not that I wouldn't take a Volvo S-40 or something, but American cars just kinda do it for me.

My previous cars:

94 Buick LaSabre (first car)
97 Range Rover (piece of shit but looked pimp as fuck for the time)
99 Jeep Grand Charoke
2003 Chrysler 300M

I did pretty good with all of those, except the Range Rover. I would still be driving the Jeep had my older brother not taken it camping, and then taken it down an embankment and into a tree. I loved that thing, lol. 4.6 V8 Dynomax Performance exhaust, 4" lift on it, few other toys and shit in it...was a nice ride man.

I feel bad for you with the RR lol. They just can't seem to engineer things that don't break down!

I can see you have a big preference towards American cars. The Big Three have really stepped their game up now and are introducing some very competitive automobiles. That Volvo S40 is actually based on a Ford; the Focus I believe. It's pretty amazing how intertwined the auto industry is. For example, you'll be seeing Mercedes-Benz AMG engines in Infiniti's IPL (Infiniti Performance Line) vehicles soon due to the deal that Nissan-Renault just signed with Daimler.

Ah, I couldn't remember who posted the cell phone pic of their Škoda interior. You guys get some neat cars over there that I wish we got here. I'm hoping that Fiat decides to bring the 500 Abarth here.

I'm on my 2nd Land Rover now...you'd think I would have learned my lesson.
Before I got my first one, my Dad (a former Jaguar and Austin-Healey owner) said "Do not buy an English car for your daily driver, you'll be renting a lot". Boy was he right.

Now that Tata owns Jaguar and LR/RR, I'm hoping that they invest more into the brand and engineering. So far with the new models they've introduced reliability seems to be improving. If you're in the market for another LR/RR check out the new Range Rover Evoque (http://www.autoblog.com/2010/09/21/paris-preview-land-rover-reveals-the-evoque/) that they'll be coming out with soon.

I like the look but that's too small and doesn't have enough doors.

I've got a Discovery II right now...it's the wife's car and its sole purpose is to keep me from owning a minivan ;)
(although towing and off-roading are requirements too)

They are amazing off road. The new fully-loaded Jeep Grand Cherokee might be worth looking into if you're ever in the market. Chrysler really stepped it up with that SUV. Heck, wait 'til the SRT model comes out.

Jeep wrangler is a requirement. Not enough seats? Tie them to the roof.

Although I totally covet the new unlimited Rubicon...that could fit the family.

Yeah I read that, and said I'm not even gonna touch that...and by that I mean the statement...

But seriously, the girl I was semi-seeing freaked out on me, because a girl I had previously liked, who is a friend of my roommate showed up to our party last weekend, and even though nothing happened, she insisted that I was in the wrong.

wanna drive this guy crazy? tell him you found someone else. thatll make a guy go insane. seriously. all he'll picture is some dude bedding his former. and he will go insane. i know, cause this happened to me.

I have a scar on my foot that proves that, and apparently also proves that 4 1/2 inch heels will end an argument...

Went to see the Stanley Cup again tonight. Dennis Bonvie brought it back here for his day. There were a ton of people who showed up to see the cup, talk to Dennis and to have pics taken. Me? I took things a little further...

Me: (Shakes hand) Congrats on the Championship Dennis. It's great that you chose to bring the Cup back home instead of Scranton (Home of the baby Pens) Man, your Cup Ring is HUGE!!!!

Bonvie: Hey, thanks a lot! Yeah, I am a country boy and haven't forgotten where I came from. Even though I spent a lot of time with the Pens organization, I wanted to give back to the community (Blah blah, what else was he supposed to say?)

Me: So, I have to ask... Off the top of your head, who are your three toughest fights in the NHL of all time?

Bonvie: Oh geez, Um, Probie is up there, I'd say Twister (Tony Twist) and maybe the Reaper (Stu Grimson)

Me: What!? No love for Rayzor!?

Bonvie:...... very long pause, scratching the back of his neck obviously irritated..... (Smile is all but gone at this point) Yeah he got me once but he wasn't one of the toughest fighters in the league. Twist broke his face a couple games later so yeah... (Exit very fast to stage left for more photo ops)

Me:  :D ( had a big shit eating grin on my face at this moment in time, knowing full well he KNEW what fight I was talking about...)

I knew full well I had just pissed him off and felt a lot like what Barney must have felt like when he would stirr the pot, hahaha.

Then, we left the event to come home to watch the Sabres beat the Sharks.

The end.
