Under new ownership, it's difficult to envision a scenario where Lindy will remain the coach. Barring a totally unexpected run into the playoffs, he and Darcy will almost certainly both be gone. An underachieving team with a strong goaltender that misses the playoffs 3 out of 4 years can't be kept intact, and the coach and GM deserve their share of the blame for the mediocrity that we've been watching for the better part of the last 4 seasons. The team is clearly on the decline and problems run much deeper than just needing a couple of players to return to contender status.

Thanks for a great 13+ season ride. He is a good coach and may very well win a cup somdeday, just not in Buffalo.

However unlikely it is that he remains the coach after this season, he's still the coach.
