Been there. My first relationships were 3 months, 3 months, and 3 weeks. Ouch.

Two more of my friends just got engaged. I'm actually happy for them; I predicted their marrying each other my freshman year, almost 8-9 months before they started liking each other and a year before they became a couple. If two people were ever made for each other... They'll be 22 and 26 this year, too, so it's not as if they're two 20-year-olds that would be better off financially and otherwise waiting until after college to start talking marriage.

You know, I was thinking about this with my old car and now with my current one.

My American Fender Strat, made in 97' is probably worth more money than my current car. That is just sad and funny.

These are the gloves I'm buying from someone, I guess never been worn before for 20 bucks. Pro-Stock ones so they retail for over 200 bucks.

I've been watching videos on YouTube for the past two hours... started with children getting surprised with puppies for Christmas (I am so doing that someday if I have children oh man... that would be why I looked up the vids lol) and through other similar topics to soldiers surprising their children when they come home.

These are the best.

the goaltending this sucks sometimes. another annoyance is when you bump up the difficulty, they dont get better, just score more on the few shots.

I saw Batman Begins and was entertained, but thought it was a meh movie. I saw the Dark Knight as well, and was a little bored, and thought it was a meh movie. I just don't like Batman as a superhero.

Love it when you're playing NHL against some other people in EASHL, and the other guy gets a break away when the AI is playing defense. Wtf? Never happened for me in a live game.

That pisses me off on NHL06. Like I'll call for a line change and dump the puck in, and the damn defense won't change until the opposition is heading through the neutral zone. Thanks for the 2 on 0 break for the other team guys.

PICTURE FRAMING RANT!

People need to understand that custom framing a picture is a lot like buying a car. GO IN TO THE STORE WITH AN IDEA OF WHAT YOU WANT! its terribly annoying when someone comes in with no idea. particularly for me who works best with a back-and-forth style of framing.

But really, if you go into a car dealership and the guy there asks what kind of car you want and you say "i dont know" to every question...

"what kind of car? Van? Truck? 4 Door?" I dont know
"what color" i dont know
"any particular features" i dont know
etc...

eventually, as the helper, you want to ask "do you know anything?" its the same thing with framing...

"what colors do you like in the picture?" i dont know what i want, but i know i dont want red and green
(its a picture of a giant red apple hanging on a branch surrounded by green leaves)
"is there a particular style you like? Modern? Antique?" i dont know
"is there a width of frame you are looking for?" i dont know

again, the next question "do you know anything?" Granted the last question is fairly odd to most people when they come in but the point is having an idea, not the entire thing framed in your head (that too is annoying but thats a different rant) but an idea. If someone came into frame a print of the Mona Lisa and said that they were thinking of "dark greens and yellows with an old looking frame." that would be great. its vague enough to allow a good back and forth between me and the client and specific enough to give me a direction to go in. Regardless of if i think the framing options are a good idea it is still a leaping point that i can work with (and possibly pull the client away from if necessary)

i had 2 people in today at the same time like this....

Watching the Laffs/Rags game atm while at work.

Gaborik just completely humiliated the Laffs and the monster with a retarded move.
