Watch the front on view, :57 on the YouTube vid. Paille's elbow clearly comes up and makes direct head contact.
EDIT: Not to mention that the head whips around before the body and shoulders move, which is also clearly indicative of head contact.
Physics would argue with that completely.
what? the head is separate from the shoulders/body. if someone is hit in the side of the head, the head would move, because your neck allows that to a certain point, before the body follows suit.
also, most concussions come from when you are struck from the side, because your head whips violently. worst place to get hit in the head? the jaw.
If you suddenly stop movement within the body, the head will keep moving regardless if you hit the head or not, that is the same as if you are in a car without a seatbelt and someone slams the brakes, you will keep moving forward inside the car while the car slows to a stop.
And if the body stops moving forward, and the head still goes, that is clearly not head contact, if the head moves back while the body still moves forward, that would be clear head hitting.
I never watched the hit, don't care to. Just saying that's how physics is.

No need for violence, just tell her she's got a game misconduct and show her the door.

As I said in the GDT, the call on Rivet was horseshit. The Bruins player was holding onto Rivet's stick like it was the last fucking raft on the Titanic.
